More details on Kevin Nash arrest, WWE issues statement

The Daytona Beach News-Journal is featuring a lengthy article providing more details about the arrest of Kevin Nash and his son Tristen Nash early Wednesday morning. Nash informed police the incident first started when his son arrived home late and intoxicated. Nash’s son told police that Nash had “taken him down by grabbing his neck and his right shoulder” and that he was unable to breathe because his father was pressing down on his chest. The teen admitted to fighting back in order to get his father off of him. A few hours later, police were called again and discovered that Nash’s son had “slung” his mother around the kitchen.

As reported yesterday, both were charged with battery. Both were then released from jail yesterday “on their own recognizance” according to the detailed article.

Nash issued a series of tweets on Wednesday evening.

“To those that have given their love. The best gift I could receive. The pain of the last 24 hours will never be erased. Just wanted to say thank you to the women and men at the Volusia country Detention center for being so professional in your treatment.”

WWE was contacted about the incident and issued the following statement.

“Kevin Nash has not regularly performed for WWE since January 2004. He is currently under a non-wrestling ‘legends’ contract, which has been immediately suspended until this domestic dispute is resolved.”
