Some good news for WWE regarding the buyrate for Night Champions on July 26. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the show did an estimated 259,000 buys with 166,000 being domestic. This is a big increase from last year’s Night of Champions PPV that did 194,000 buys (128,000 domestic). This is the second largest WWE “B” PPV of the year only behind the No Way Out PPV in February that did 272,000 buys (172,000 domestic). This year’s Night of Champions was headlined by CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy for the WWE World Heavyweight Champion (Hardy beat Punk for the title), Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Triple H in a triple threat for the WWE Championship and Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
