SPOILERS: Smackdown taping for 8/7

The following took place on Tuesday in Long Island, NY.

Jeff sent this report in:

Smackdown:

The show opened with CM Punk cutting a lengthy promo before Jeff Hardy charged the ring. The two brawled until Vince McMahons music hit (pop of the night) and stopped the two. He announced they would have their match later tonight, but with a mystery guest enforcer.

John Morrison b Tyson Kidd via Starship Pain

Dolph Ziggler b Finlay, R Truth, and Mike Knox to become the #1 contender to the Intercontinental Championship.

-Ziggler will face Rey Mysterio at SummerSlam.
-After the match, Ziggler confronted Rey, but was eventually taken down by the champion, with some help from Finlay.

JTG b Chris Jericho via flash small cradle

Slam Master J b Charlie Hass in the worst match of the night via a Splash from the top rope.

The Great Khali b Ricky Ortiz via Punjabi Plunge.

-After the match, Kane’s music hit and sneak attacked Khali. He tossed the big man outside and went after Ranjin Singh. He beat down Singh and dragged him through the crowd, out the arena. Khali followed but minutes after Kane had exited.

Jeff Hardy b CM Punk to retain the World Heavyweight Championship with special enforcer Matt Hardy counting the pinfall.

-After the match, CM Punk got on the mic and argued the decision. Teddy Long came out and said Punk got another rematch for SummerSlam, but this time it would be Tables, Ladders, and Chairs.

Post Smackdown Dark Match

Jeff Hardy b CM Punk in a steel cage match after a Swanton Bomb. The match only lasted about 4 minutes, with the best part an already broken down CM Punk yelling “faster” to the production crew.

Thanks and keep up the good work guys.
