Mike’s Thoughts: My only thought during this entire match was Kona Reeves really needs to learn to slow down and let his work breathe. Good angle with Roderick Strong burning the couch and challenging Dream to a match. Could be a good first match on the USA Network debut in two weeks.

Winner and still NXT Champion: Adam Cole

https://twitter.com/tde_wrestling/status/1169413729706024962?s=20

Adam Cole celebrates with the NXT Championship and kisses it while going up the ramp. Jordan Myles comes to and watches Cole leave. Myles goes to the back while the crowd chants his name.

Mike’s Thoughts: Really awesome match with Adam Cole and Jordan Myles. What a fantastic story to tell of this breakout star going against an established veteran and champion. The first part was all Adam Cole showing up the rookie with the rookie obviously having a lot of nerves. Then the rookie made a little comeback and stunned the champion. The champion takes over, but the rookie shows some spunk by kicking out. The rookie runs wild for a bit before the crafty champion finds an opening to pick up the win. The champion celebrates, but the rookie wins the respect of the crowd. Tremendous story to tell and both men told it expertly.

The first half of the show was mostly showcase matches, but they were all fine. The main event was absolutely awesome. Simple story, but told with unbelievable precision. I really enjoyed watching tonight’s show. I hope it stays this way after the move to the USA Network.
