Dusty Rhodes Classic Semifinal Match
MSK (Wes Lee and Nash Carter) vs. Legado del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde)

It will be Wes Lee starting against Joaquin Wilde. Wilde sidesteps Lee trying a tie-up. Wilde signals for a test of strength, but Wilde quickly gets out and goes for a back suplex. Lee gets out, but Wilde takes him down and applies a wristlock. Wilde rolls through and takes him down before kipping up. Wilde is acting very cocky. Wilde takes him down and ties up the legs. Lee gets out and applies an arm bar. Wilde fights up and tries to whip him off, but Lee quickly takes him down. Lee sends him to the corner, and Nash Carter tags in. Lee dropkicks Wilde in the corner before Carter hits a bronco buster for a two count. Carter applies a front facelock, but Wilde quickly fights up and powers out. Wilde hooks the arm, but Carter rolls through, flips to reverse the pressure, and knocks him back. Raul Mendoza tags in, and they lock up. Mendoza hooks a side headlock, but Carter fights out. They each go for a takedown, but neither budge. They twist out of moves. Lee tags in, and MSK hit some quickly strikes. Carter hits a double stomp to the back of Mendoza, and Lee picks up a near fall.

Mendoza quickly takes Lee down before bouncing him in the corner. Wilde tags in and hits a running corner clothesline. They tag in and out hitting multiple corner clotheslines. Legado del Fantasma then hit a double-team suplex followed by an aided springboard moonsault for a near fall. Lee soon counters and gets away. Carter tags in and runs over Wilde before kneeing Mendoza. Carter rolls Mendoza down and kicks him in the jaw for a near fall. Carter sends him into the ropes, but Mendoza hangs onto the ropes. Mendoza knocks him back and puts him on the apron. Mendoza throws Wilde up in the air for him to wildly dropkick Carter off the apron. They then wipe out Lee as we go to commercial.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Carter flip through a German Suplex from Mendoza before delivering an enzuigiri. Lee tags in and takes Mendoza down twice. Lee hits a strike combination on Mendoza followed by a dropkick. Wilde is then given a back body drop over the top rope as he attempts to attack. Carter gets on the apron and jumps… Lee pushes him and helps him do a moonsault on Mendoza and Wilde! Lee then hits a senton plancha. Lee gets them in the ring for a near fall.

Legado del Fantasma fights back. Mendoza climbs the ropes and hits a missile dropkick. Wilde follows up with a poisonrana. Mendoza hits a twisting brainbuster, but Carter breaks it up. Mendoza lifts Carter up on his shoulders, so Wilde jumps off the top rope onto Carter and does a 450 splash to Lee… but Lee gets the knees up! Mendoza breaks up the pin by throwing Carter onto Lee. Legado del Fantasma get Carter out of the ring. Carter pulls Mendoza out of the ring. Lee superkicks Wilde and tags Carter in. MSK hits a standing slam/blockbuster combo for the win!

Winners by Pinfall: MSK

MSK will go to the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. MSK celebrates in the ring. Their opponents will be determined later tonight.

A video package highlighting Xia Li is shown. She’ll be in action, next.

-Commercial Break-

Mercedes Martinez is shown in a video package talking about how the NXT Women’s Championship is her destiny and goal. She’s back because she wants the title. Io Shirai’s title reign has an expiration date: this Sunday. Bet on that.

Xia Li w/ Tian Sha and Boa vs. Cora Jade

Before the match begins, Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter run down and confront Boa. Jade attacks Li from behind, but Li angrily gets up and cuts her down with kicks. Li crushes her with a spin kick for the win.

Winner by Pinfall: Xia Li

Li attacks Cora Jade after the match, angering Catanzaro and Carter. The commentators explain they are concerned about what has happened to Li. Carter runs over to Tian Sha and yells at her on the throne. Carter says this isn’t Xia Li and wants to know what she did to her. Li comes from behind and flips Carter off the stage!

Li begs for forgiveness from Sha. Boa comes over and tries to speak with Sha. Sha grabs him by the throat and points with her other hand. Li goes to ringside and viciously attacks Catanzaro, wiping her out with a spin kick to the skull. Tian Sha releases Boa, and Li kneels before her.

McKenzie Mitchell comes up to NXT General Manager William Regal. Regal puts over MSK before walking into his office. Scarlett is inside. Scarlett says she is here because if HE comes, it won’t be good. Time is up for Santos Escobar next week. Regal agrees to Karrion Kross against Santos Escobar next week.

Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell are walking backstage. Austin Theory is wheeling Johnny Gargano behind them. The Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinals are next.

-Commercial Break-

The Way are carefully helping NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano into the ring. Gargano says the people are rude and insensitive. Before Candice and Indi punch their ticket to NXT TakeOver in the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Finals, he has to address the attack by Kushida last week. A “You deserve it” chant lightly picks up. Gargano says he was minding his own business when Kushida attacked him for no good reason and broke his arm.

Footage is shown of Kushida kicking Gargano in the arm last week. Candice LeRae covers Gargano’s eyes as he watches.

Gargano says he has four fractures in his arm. He’s a leftie and a power walker. Now he can’t swing his arms. The worst part of it is he cannot defend his NXT North American Championship against Kushida on Sunday at NXT TakeOver. Gargano calls for Mr. Regal to suspend Kushida for injuring the most beloved member of the NXT Locker Room.

Regal walks out onto the stage. Regal says the NXT medical team cleared Gargano yesterday afternoon, so it’s time to stop the ridiculous chirade. Gargano won’t trust the quacks in medical. Gargano went to his own doctor and shows a fake x-ray of a broken arm. Regal asks him for the name of the bone. Regal says that’s an x-ray of a right arm (Gargano’s left arm is supposedly injured). Gargano says the “R” stands for “real.” Regal says Austin Theory can be Gargano’s surrogate and defend the NXT North American Championship for him. The second option is Gargano forfeits the title right now. Gargano says he just needs a few months and they’ll do a “Beautiful Day” music video. Kushida appears behind them and attacks Gargano. Gargano’s arm is perfectly fine, and Kushida knocks him back into his wheelchair.

Dusty Rhodes Classic Semifinal Match
Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell vs. Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon

We join this match in progress to see Ember Moon applying a side headlock to Candice LeRae. Shotzi Blackheart tags in, and they take LeRae down. Blackheart hits a senton for a two count. Blackheart applies a neck vice before kneeing her in the head a few times. Moon tags in and shoulders LeRae in the corner. LeRae tries to fight out, but Moon powers her back to the corner. Blackheart tags in, but LeRae desperately runs over and tags Indi Hartwell. Blackheart attacks Hartwell before she gets in, but Hartwell fights back with snake eyes and a sidewalk slam for a two count. Hartwell stomps her in the corner for another two count. LeRae tags back in and kicks Blackheart. LeRae pulls the hair and viciously whips her down for a near fall. LeRae applies an overhead wristlock and looks for a submission. Blackheart tries to fight up, but LeRae keeps her grounded and hits a rolling neck snapper. LeRae hits a jackknife pin for a two count. Hartwell tags in and stomps Blackheart. Hartwell sends her into the ropes for a back elbow. Hartwell taunts Moon before covering Blackheart for a two count. LeRae tags back in and wrenches the arm. LeRae hits Eat Defeat for another two count. LeRae goes back to the overhead wrist lock. LeRae viciously takes Blackheart down for another two count. LeRae is furious. Blackheart hits a jawbreaker and tags Moon in.

Moon hits a clothesline and chases Hartwell off the apron. Moon strikes away at LeRae and dropkicks her. Hartwell tags in, but Moon makes a tag to Blackheart. Moon hits a flying double knee facebuster, and Blackheart follows up with a spin kick for a near fall. Moon tags back in. Blackheart applies a head-scissor over the ropes, as Moon avalanches Hartwell for a two count. LeRae runs in and takes Blackheart down. Hartwell then trips Moon in the ring. LeRae tags in and hits a flying hurricanrana off the apron to send Moon into Blackheart!

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Moon take Hartwell out. LeRae and Blackheart tag in. Blackheart runs wild on LeRae and hits a facebuster. Blackheart splashes her against the ropes for a near fall. Moon tags in and hits a facebuster. Blackheart gives LeRae a facebuster into Moon’s shins. Hartwell breaks up the pin and gets Blackheart out of the ring. Moon takes Hartwell out. LeRae takes Moon down and tags Hartwell in. Hartwell lays Moon on the ropes for LeRae to hit with a moonsault! LeRae then goes for a suicide dive, but comes up short. Blackheart still somewhat catches her. Hartwell picks up a near fall. Hartwell cannot believe it.

LeRae tags in. Hartwell whips her to Moon, but Moon sidesteps her. Moon kicks Hartwell into LeRae and tags Blackheart in. Blackheart hits Hartwell with a step-up enzuigiri. Blackheart strikes away at LeRae, but LeRae kicks her down. Hartwell tags in. LeRae hits the Wicked Stepsister before Hartwell splashes her with an elbow drop. Moon breaks up the pin. Moon and LeRae take each other down at ringside.

Blackheart rolls Hartwell up, but Hartwell quickly kicks out. Blackheart hits a high knee to the jaw followed by a DDT. Blackheart kicks LeRae in the head. LeRae stumbles into an Eclipse. Hartwell lays on LeRae, and Blackheart CRUSHES them with a flying senton splash for the win!

Winners by Pinfall: Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon

Shotzi Blackheart and Ember Moon will face Dakota Kai and Raquel Gonzalez in the finals of the Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

Kai and Gonzalez come out to confront them. William Regal comes out and says they have the opportunity to make history on Sunday. The winning team will not only be the first winners of the Dusty Cup, but they’ll receive a WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship match.

Timothy Thatcher is backstage with Tommaso Ciampa. Thatcher says they loved their match against Undisputed ERA. Now they have a shot at the Grizzled Young Veterans. Ciampa says the irony of their name is these grizzled old veterans will whip their asses. They’ll win the Dusty Cup this Sunday.

-Commercial Break-

WWE celebrates Black History Month.

McKenzie Mitchell is with Santos Escobar. He’s asked about facing Karrion Kross. Escobar says time is relative to the person. He’ll give Kross the gift of time. Raul Mendoza and Joaquin Wilde come in and apologize. Escobar says he never apologizes for anything. Escobar says they can make it up to them by paying someone a visit. He doesn’t make it to next week.

Kushida vs. Austin Theory w/ Johnny Gargano

Kushida and Theory attack each other at the sound of the bell. Kushida kicks him to the corner and punches away at him. Johnny Gargano distracts Kushida, and Theory takes him down. Theory hits a beautiful dropkick on Kushida before bouncing him in the corner. Theory shoulders Kushida in the corner before trying for a suplex. Kushida blocks it, but Theory punches him back. Theory sends him to the corner, but Kushida boots him back. Theory knees him, but Kushida reverses a whip. Theory blocks a hip toss, but Kushida knees him and hits it. Kushida hits a low dropkick and forearms him. Kushida goes for a German Suplex, but Theory fights it. Kushida then drops Theory with a vicious arm breaker. Kushida pulls back on the arm and stomps away at Theory. Kushida kicks Theory in the chest and puts him in the corner. Theory fights out and punches him. Kushida takes him down and ties up the arm before hitting another arm breaker. Theory writhes around in pain on the mat. Kushida wrenches the arm and applies a front facelock. Theory pushes him into the ropes, so the referee breaks it up. Kushida kicks back at him and hits another arm breaker. Kushida looks at Gargano at ringside. Theory tries to fight back, but Kushida kicks him in the arm. Theory drops Kushida on the apron. Kushida kicks him back, but Theory knocks him off to ringside.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Theory dominating Kushida. Theory hits a nice fallaway slam utilizing his good arm. Theory punches away at Kushida and talks some trash. Theory punches and kicks away at Kushida, bringing him down to his knees. Theory hits a snapmare before going for a stomp, but Kushida avoids it. Kushida rolls him up for a two count. Kushida hits an inverted atomic drop followed by a springboard back elbow. Kushida hits an STO into the corner before stomping the hand. Kushida kicks him in the head for a near fall. Kushida grabs the injured arm and hits a few arm breakers. Theory rolls out of the ring grunting in pain. Kushida leaps off the apron, but Theory sidesteps him and hits a running back elbow. Theory goes for a powerbomb into the ring post, but Kushida fights it and lands on the apron. Kushida then applies a cross arm breaker. Gargano kicks Kushida in the head to break it.

Winner by Disqualification: Kushida

Gargano has Theory hold Kushida up. Gargano removes his injured arm from the sling to reveal what everyone already knew: Gargano wasn’t injured. Gargano punches away at Kushida and stomps him. Gargano says he’s going to get a chair. Theory all of a sudden gets pulled under the ring. Gargano tries to save him and pulls him out, but it’s Dexter Lumis. Gargano runs away in fear.

Theory emerges from under the ring and is scared by Lumis as well. Kushida applies a Hoverboard Lock to Theory. Gargano runs in to help, so Kushida puts the Hoverboard Lock on him. Lumis then applies a Kata Gatame to Theory. Theory passes out. Kushida stands tall over Gargano.

Video Package: Toni Storm says she finally has an opportunity for the NXT Women’s Championship. Where she comes from, it’s rude to involve yourself in other people’s business, which is what Mercedes Martinez is doing. Storm talks about beating Io Shirai in the finals of the Mae Young Classic. Whenever they face each other, Storm beats her. This Sunday, she’s leaving with the NXT Women’s Championship. After this Sunday, Shirai and Martinez can get in the back of the line because it’s Toni Time.

Video Package: Imperium highlight reel

We go backstage to see Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza unconscious under a pile of rubble. Karrion Kross appears and tells Santos Escobar if you want something done, you need to do it yourself. Next week, Kross will do just that. Tick tock!

We go into the parking lot to see a car revving its engine and honking the horn. It’s a Lamborghini. Out steps Cameron Grimes. Grimes pulls out a wad of cash and hands it to some security. Grimes walks into the building and out into the NXT area. Grimes hands some audience members some cash. Grimes even gives the camera guy a few $100 bills.

Grimes gets in the ring and says there’s a nice reward for anyone on their feet. Grimes is back. Two months ago, he laid outside this ring because that no good Timothy Thatcher took him out. Grimes was screaming and flailing. Grimes went home and did what every man would do: he thought of how he’d come back and cave him in. Grimes didn’t train the whole time. He had some downtime. Grimes found out about these things called video games. They’re cool. Grimes started playing video games and wondered why he’d even wrestle. Grimes found a store called GameStop. Grimes opened the doors to the store and the lights hit him differently. Grimes put his money into GameStop. It turns out he’s at the right place at the right time. The stock went to the moon. Grimes yells he has so much money. Now Grimes is investing in Dogecoin and is more rich. Grimes celebrates wildly in the ring.

Grimes shouts he is the richest man in NXT. No one can tell him anything now. Grimes tells Mr. Regal to kiss his grits. Grimes will never wrestle Dexter Lumis or a zombie. You can kiss his grits! They say money is power… Grimes says he has so much money it ain’t even that funny… it’s hilarious! Grimes makes an angel in a pile of money.

McKenzie Mitchell is backstage with NXT North American Champion Johnny Gargano. This Sunday, he’ll face Kushida. It’s a dream match for some, but not him. Gargano will remind the world who the hell he is. He’s Johnny TakeOver. Kushida better be ready to have the match of his life. When it’s TakeOver, no one can hang with him. Gargano welcomes Kushida to his world on Sunday.

The Grizzled Young Veterans will be in action, next.

Video Package: NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai says Mercedes Martines waited 20 years for this title and will keep winning. The title will stay with her this Sunday.

Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Semifinal Match
Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa vs. Grizzled Young Veterans (Zack Gibson and James Drake)

Before the match begins, Gibson says their opponents are two goofs. They both turned on tag team partners before. They can take their fake friendship and stick it up their asses. The trophy belongs to them. Ciampa and Thatcher attack them at ringside. Ciampa and Thatcher stomp away at them.

Thatcher gets Gibson in the ring. Gibson begs him off. The bell rings. Gibson attacks Thatcher, but Thatcher quickly grabs the arm and knees him in the ribs. Thatcher tags Ciampa in. Ciampa attacks him before tagging Thatcher back in. Thatcher knees Gibson in the ribs before applying a hammerlock. Thatcher powers him to the corner and uppercuts him. Drake saves Gibson from a whip to the corner. Drake tags in and stomps away at Thatcher. Drake hits a clothesline, but Thatcher wasn’t ready for it. Gibson tags in, but Thatcher overwhelms him with an uppercut. Drake pulls Ciampa off the apron before Thatcher can tag. Gibson puts Thatcher in the corner. Gibson and Drake hit Thatcher with a strike combo. They go outside and grab Ciampa, powerbombing him on the apron.

-Commercial Break-

We come back from the break to see Thatcher take Drake down with a big belly-to-belly suplex. Ciampa is still down at ringside. One side of his back is completely red. Gibson tags in and attacks Thatcher. Gibson rips at the face and applies a chin lock. Thatcher’s nose is bleeding. Gibson roughs Thatcher up and tags Drake in. Gibson puts Thatcher in the electric chair, but he gets out and uppercuts Drake. Gibson goes outside to attack Ciampa, but Ciampa takes him down.

Ciampa tags in and viciously clotheslines Drake down three times. Ciampa then catches Gibson with two clotheslines. Ciampa hits them with corner clotheslines and a jumping double clothesline! Ciampa hits a German Suplex on Drake and then one on Gibson. Ciampa hits an Air Raid Siren on Drake onto Gibson for a near fall. Ciampa chops the chest of Drake a few times. Drake gets out of a Fairy Tale Ending. Ciampa clubs the back before being backed to the corner. Gibson tags in and punches Ciampa. Gibson goes for a suplex, but Ciampa chops and forearms him. They eventually take each other out. Drake tags in and leaps off Ciampa’s back to hit Thatcher. Gibson puts Ciampa on his shoulders. The Grizzled Young Veterans connect with a Doomsday Device, but Thatcher breaks it up!

Gibson sends Thatcher over the top rope and punches him at ringside. Thatcher grabs him and slaps him in the face. Drake then hits Thatcher with a suicide dive. Ciampa goes for Widow’s Bell on Drake, but Gibson holds him. They hit Ciampa with Ticket to Mayhem and prevent Thatcher from getting in the ring for the win.

Winners by Pinfall: Grizzled Young Veterans

The Grizzled Young Veterans will battle MSK in the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance day. MSK and the Grizzled Young Veterans go face-to-face.

The commentators talk about the rest of the card we’ll see this Sunday at NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day.

NXT Champion Finn Bálor goes face-to-face with Pete Dunne in the ring as the show comes to an end.
