STARRCADE RETURNS THIS DECEMBER

UCW is proud to announce the return of professional wrestling’s
original supercard – Starrcade. Founded in 1983 by Jim Crockett
Promotions, Starrcade was professional wrestling’s first annual
supershow and served as the annual marquee event for the NWA and WCW
through the year 2000. Over its eighteen years, Starrcade featured
some of the most unforgettable matches in professional wrestling
history headlined by the greatest legends and icons of all time. Ric
Flair, Sting, Hulk Hogan, and the Road Warriors had some of their most
memorable moments at Starrcade.

The announcement of Starrcade’s return raises more questions than
answers. What legends will return to compete? What young superstars
will step up and become immortalized in wrestling history? All that is
known is that Starrcade will return in December and ticket information
will be coming soon!

TOMMY DREAMER A TRAVELING CHAMPION

Since winning the Universal Heavyweight Championship from “The
Franchise” Shane Douglas this past February, Tommy Dreamer has been
steadfastly defending the championship across the country against all
comers. “The Innovator of Violence” has bested opposition as
formidable as All-American Charlie Haas, former NWE World Champion
Romeo Roselli, and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler. Just
this past weekend, Dreamer pinned “The Nightmare” Griffen in Keyser,
West Virginia before defeating Steve Fender via disqualification in
Kansas City the following night.

HIJO DE REY MISTERIO AT ‘SUPERBRAWL II’

Universal Championship Wrestling prides itself on featuring the
world’s best professional wrestlers battling for supremacy. This
commitment to excellence is why UCW is bringing in one of the world’s
premier luchadors – part of an iconic wrestling family.
UCW is proud to announce that second-generation lucha libre superstar
Hijo de Rey Misterio will debut for UCW on June 25 at ‘SuperBrawl II’
in Rome, GA. The cousin of future WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, Hijo
de Rey Misterio wears the same mask and has the same breathtaking,
high-flying lucha libre wrestling style his family has become famous
for. Misterio’s opponent has yet to be signed as of press time, but
should be revealed via UCW’s Twitter account (@ucwtv).

In addition to Hijo de Rey Misterio, “SuperBrawl II” will also feature
former WCW mainstay Glacier. An accomplished martial artist and a
consummate showman, Glacier has waged war with the likes of Goldberg,
Buff Bagwell, and former Universal Heavyweight Champion Perry Saturn.
The steely-nerved ninja master will look to ice the competition June
25 at “SuperBrawl.”

Other wrestlers scheduled for “SuperBrawl II” include former WWE
Superstar Jimmy Yang, former Deep South Wrestling standout Micah
Taylor, “Confederate Currency” Chris Hamrick, former Universal
Heavyweight Champion Johnny Swinger, and the stunning Tracy Taylor.

“UCW SuperBrawl II” is Friday, June 25 in Rome, GA at The Forum (2
Government Plaza). Bell time is 7:00pm.
Tickets are $45 for VIP (with a backstage pass), $20, and $12.
Due to popular demand, childrens’ ticket prices have been lowered.
Kids aged 6-12 can get in for just $5, while kids 5 and under get in
free!

‘BIG POPPA PUMP’ READY TO EXPLODE AT ‘NITRO’

Over the past ten years, “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner has proven
himself to be one of the most dangerous and unpredictable men in
professional wrestling history. He’s attacked announcers, managers,
and even fans. Even letting him near a live microphone has been proven
to be a censor’s nightmare. This maniacal behavior wouldn’t be nearly
as frightening if Scott Steiner wasn’t one of the most athletically
gifted wrestlers in history, capable of defeating nearly any opponent.
Whether it’s in WCW, TNA, or now in UCW, Scott Steiner has proven
himself to be a devastating force inside and outside the ring.

Now, it appears the “Big Bad Booty Daddy” has his sights set on Tommy
Dreamer and his Universal Heavyweight Championship. Just last month,
Steiner bested former Deep South Wrestling star Micah Taylor. It
appears that “Big Poppa Pump” will attempt to continue to climb the
UCW rankings at ‘Nitro’ – no matter who his opponent is.

A UCW championship will be on the line at ‘Nitro.’ Though he’s been
known primarily as a tag team wrestler, Ricky Morton has established
himself to be a formidable North American Heavyweight Champion. The
Rock N Roller will defend his championship against an unknown opponent
June 26 in Gainesville.

‘Nitro’ will also feature former WWE Superstar Jimmy Yang. The
Austell, Georgia native is proud to be pro wrestling’s Resident
Redneck and is regarded by many analysts as one of the most
well-rounded junior heavyweights in the sport today.

Lucha Libre sensation Hijo de Rey Misterio is scheduled to compete at
‘Nitro.’ Will this second-generation superstar go 2 for 2 on this wild
weekend?

“UCW Nitro” is Saturday, June 26 in Gainesville, GA at the Georgia
Mountains Center (301 Main Street Southwest). Bell time is 7:00pm.
Tickets are $45 for VIP (with a backstage pass), $20, and $12.
Due to popular demand, childrens’ ticket prices have been lowered.
Kids aged 6-12 can get in for just $5, while kids 5 and under get in
free!
