New Japan introduces new president at Dominion

In the video seen above, New Japan introduced their new president, Harold Meij, at this past Saturday’s Dominion iPPV in Osaka. New Japan announced the hiring of Meij as their new president back in May, but this was his first formal introduction to the New Japan audience.

Meij is from the Netherlands, but has lived in Japan during his upbringing and at different parts of his business career. Meij does speak both English and Japanese and had recently served as an executive for Coca-Cola as well as president of the Takara Tomy toy company before his hiring.

This is New Japan’s first foreign president in company history as they continue to make in-roads on their international expansion.

New Japan posted the full post-Dominion press conference from Sunday night, featuring comments from new IWGP Champion Kenny Omega and announcements on the cards for Kizuna Road and the G-1 Special at the Cow Palace that was mentioned earlier.
