By: Jason “JerseyViper” Namako

Hello everyone, JerseyViper here with the results from the final night of the NJPW East Coast Invasion Tour, this time from the fabled Asylum Arena, or ECW Arena, in Philadelphia, PA. I have had a blast recapping what has took place on these cards and I cannot wait to check these shows out when they come out on DVD in the near future. With that, here are the Night 3 Results:

Match Number One: Tetsuya Naito defeated Hideo Saito by pinfall after hitting a twisting moonsault.

Match Number Two: Shinsuke Nakamura, Yujiro Takahashi, Jado & Gedo defeated Charlie Haas, Tiger Mask, Kazuchika Okada & Josh Daniels by pinfall when Nakamura pinned Okada after hitting a running Boom A Ye Kick.

Match Number Three for the JAPW Light Heavyweight Title: Kenny Omega defeated Jushin “Thunder” Liger(c) by pinfall to win the title after a German Suplex.

After the match, Liger presented the title to Omega and strapped it around his waist, he then raised his hand and gave Omega his endorsement and then left so that Omega could soak in his title win as the fans appaluded both men for their efforts.

Match Number Four: IWGP Tag Team Champions Giant Benard & Karl Anderson defeated Satoshi Kojima & Dan Maff by pinfall when Anderson pinned Maff with an Ace Crusher.

After the match, Maff left the ringside area, so that Kojima could receive a standing ovation from the fans. Kojima left ringside, only to be attacked by Lance Hoyt. Hoyt rolled him into the ring and drilled Kojima with a big boot. Hoyt continued the assault on Kojima until MVP ran out and made the save as Hoyt got out of dodge.

Match Number Five for the IWGP Junior Tag Team Titles: Prince Devitt & Rysuke Taguchi(c) defeated The Strong Style Thugz(Homicide & Low-Ki) to retain the titles by pinfall after Devitt pinned Homicide with a brainbuster.

Match Number Six: IWGP Heavyweight Champion Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated “The Lone Wolf” Davey Richards by pinfall after hitting a frog splash.

Match Number Seven in the Finals of the Tournament to crown the 1st IWGP Intercontiental Champion: MVP defeated Toru Yano to win the title by submission after locking in his unique submission move for the win.

After the match, MVP celebrated with the title and cut a promo thanking the fans for making this day special for him and thanking NJPW for believing in him and giving him a new place to be successful in.

Main Event in a Falls Count Anywhere, Philadelphia Street Fight: Togi Makabe defeated “The War Machine” Rhino by pinfall after hitting a flying kneedrop through a board.
And so, there you have it for the 1st US Tour from NJPW, and I would have to say a complete success, til next time folks, this has been JerseyViper, later everyone, HISSSSSSSSSSS!
