In an update to a story posted by Adam Martin earlier today, Chris Jericho spoke to WWE.com about his contract status. In regards to the rumors that he hasn't yet signed a contract extension he says, "I signed an extension on Monday in Cleveland at Gund Arena, I’ve been working with WWE for six years and I’m not going anywhere." Jericho wouldn't go into the specifics of the extension only stating that it is a short term extension while a longer term one is worked out.

He claims Fozzy is not a factor saying, "Fozzy isn't a factor at all. Things with the band are going great and WWE has been really positive with Fozzy. We have some great opportunities overseas with the band, but none of that is going to hinder my time with WWE." He went on to say, "I’m still an employee of WWE. My contract had expired but I’m back and looking toward the future."

Update: Since this report was added, WWE.com has since removed the quotes Jericho made regarding Fozzy. Either this was done on purpose (which is likely given reports that followed WWE's article) or was a mistake.
