WRESTLING LEGEND TERRY FUNK TO APPEAR IN CLEVELAND ON OCTOBER 16

CLEVELAND, OH (Oct. 1) — He’s a former NWA World Heavyweight Champion, ECW World Heavyweight Champion, 2009 WWe Hall Of Fame inductee, and the star of films like Road House and Over the Top–professional wrestling’s Hardcore Legend Terry Funk is coming to Cleveland, Ohio on Friday, October 16, as part of Absolute Intense Wrestling’s BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CLEVELAND.

Active in wrestling for five decades and counting, Terry Funk has wrestled in every country that lives for the sport, for every major promotion in the world. His resume reads like an encyclopedia of wrestling–a champion in the NWA, WCW, ECW, All-Japan Pro Wrestling, and World Wrestling Entertainment, Funk has feuded against a veritable hall of fame, from Ric Flair and Dusty Rhodes to Mick Foley and Steve Austin. In addition, he has starred in films as the tough-guy opposite to Hollywood icons Patrick Swayze and Sylvester Stallone.

This is a rare, late-career appearance for the man affectionately known by wrestling fans around the globe as “The Funker,” and there are few promotions in the United States who could coax him from his home on the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas. Absolute Intense Wrestling is anticipating a sell out crowd at Our Lady of Mount St. Carmel for BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CLEVELAND, and it is not too late to get a piece of the action. Tickets for this once-in-a-lifetime event are available right now at shop.aiwrestling.com, and more information about this and other upcoming AIW events can be found at www.Aiwrestling.com.
