The following took place on Monday in Orlando.
TNA Impact Wrestling for May 17:
* TNA Champion Bobby Roode opened the show and noted he was about to become the longest reigning champion in TNA history. He said when he breaks the record next week he wants a celebration party. Roode demands Hulk Hogan agree to the party. Hogan instead books Roode for the “Open Fight Night” next week where he will defend his title.
* A series of matches took place where the four winners would meet next week in a four way match. The winner would then face Roode for the title next week.
* Bully Ray def. Rob Van Dam to advance.
* AJ Styles won a Battle Royal to advance. Styles was going to explain the Dixie Carter pictures until Christopher Daniels and Kazarian showed a video of Styles going into a hotel room with Dixie.
* Gail Kim def. Velvet Sky and Brooke Tessmacher to retain the TNA Knockouts Championship.
* Jeff Hardy def. Mr. Anderson to advance.
* Kurt Angle def. Samoa Joe to advance.
* Show ended with Roode staring down Angle, Hardy, Styles and Bully Ray.
