Impact Wrestling kicks off with highlights from last week and then the camera cuts to the back where Bully Ray is rallying the troops. He says the order of business for Aces & Eights tonight is AJ Styles and nothing else. D-Lo tells Mr. Anderson that he thought his idea to get AJ in the club would work and he’s sorry it didn’t work out. Bully seems pissed by this and stares D-Lo down and then Anderson before walking away. As D-Lo starts to walk away Anderson slams him into the wall and then beats him down! Anderson spits his gum on D-Lo and then walks away with the rest of Aces & Eights.
Team 3D make their way down to the ring and this is probably the first time those two have been in the ring together, both with gold and it not be a Tag Team Championship. Bully Ray says there are 3 days until Slammiversary when Devon will take out Joseph Park for good and Bully will defend his belt against Sting. Ray says Sting named the No Holds Barred stipulation and he asks if Sting really gave that thought. He says Sting is going to try and break his bones, poke out his eyes, or rip out his throat but it doesn’t matter. Bully says he isn’t taking anything away from Sting because he has beaten some of the greatest World Champions to become an “Icon.” Bully namedrops some of the people Sting has beat for World Titles including Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Kurt Angle, and even Jeff Hardy. Ray mockingly says everyone loves Jeff Hardy and then says Ray didn’t just beat Hardy for the World Title, he took him out. Ray says he made sure the fans would never see him again. He says that he can’t wait for Slammiversary to make sure Sting never gets another shot at the World Title again, but for now he’ll just be patient. He says he doesn’t want to wait for the match with Sting & Park though so they need to get out to the ring and fight now!

Devon is finally fighting back on Sting now as Ray hits Park with a chair. Devon hits Sting in the throat and Park hits Ray with a series of right hands. Devon and Sting are brawling on the entrance ramp now as a “we want tables” chant starts. Ray slams Park into the ring steps and Sting backdrops Devon over the top rope into the ring. Bully Ray slams Park’s hand down onto the ring steps repeatedly as Sting once again drags Devon back out to the floor. Sting slams Devon into the timekeepers table. Bully gets in the ring and dares Sting to join him. Sting obliges and Ray shoves him. Sting and Ray exchange right hands and then they both hit the ropes and collide into each other with clotheslines!
Back from the break Devon is beating Park up in the ring as things have finally settled into a tag match. Devon chokes Park in the ropes and then hits the ropes only to eat a hip toss from Park! Park Scoop Slams Devon and then climbs up top! Park sets up for the Closing Argument but Bully Ray kicks him off the top and then decks him before Devon clotheslines him. Devon tags in and then they attempt a Double Clothesline, but Park ducks and they hit each other! Sting tags in and hits clotheslines and right hands on both Devon & Ray! Sting dropkicks Devon into Bully Ray and then kicks Devon’s legs out from under him! Sting puts Devon in the Scorpion Death Lock! Ray attempts to break it up but Park trips him and tries to put Ray in the Scorpion as well, but Sting tries to yell at him to get out of the ring. Backstage Kurt Angle bitches about AJ Styles. Angle says AJ has done things to him that are unforgiveable. He says there may be some mutual respect still there but he is going to have to pay a price for what he did. Angle says tonight he’ll be watching AJ’s match “very closely…literally.”
AJ vs. Anderson in the Main Event is hyped up.
Dixie Carter walks down to the ring and she says Slammiversary is a very special night for TNA as they celebrate 11 years in business. She says TNA wouldn’t be here without the best fans in the world so she thanks them. Dixie says she’s seen some of the greatest men and women grace the TNA ring so she’s very proud to announce that at Slammiversary the 2nd inductee into the TNA Hall of Fame will be announced. She says last year it was Sting that became the first inductee and this Sunday Sting is in a big title match and she wishes him the best of luck. Aces & Eights music interrupts Dixie and then members DOC, Garett Bischoff, & Wes Brisco walk out.
Garett gets in the ring with Dixie and asks her where the love for them is. He asks where her love for Bully Ray is like she gave Sting. He says that he knows she’s real excited about the big celebration at Slammiversary but he has news for her because it’s going to feel more like a funeral. DOC & Wes get in the ring now to as Dixie starts to get nervous. They corner her in the ring but then Samoa Joe’s music hits as Samoa Joe & Magnus hit the ring. Aces & Eights bail out but Joe grabs a microphone. Joe says he sat at home picking stitches out of his face seething to get his hands on every member of Aces & Eights. Joe says that wait is over and then he says he doesn’t know who ever gave Garett permission to speak, but since he wants to get real lippy with Garett then he get in the ring and see just how lippy he gets as Joe beats him into the man that he will never be.
Aces & Eights huddle up and then Garett accepts!
Samoa Joe w/Magnus vs. Garett Bischoff w/Wes Brisco & DOC
Garett slides into the ring and attacks Joe as he talks to Magnus. Garett beats on Joe in the corner but Joe no sells it and then slaps the monkey crap out of Garett with a chop. Joe hits a series of jabs on Garett and then tosses him into the corner. Joe comes in like a bulldozer with a Running Back Elbow followed by a Leaping Enziguri!
Joe hits Garett with a Mafia Kick and then hits the ropes but DOC trips him. Magnus goes after DOC & Wes! Garett clotheslines Joe and then climbs out to the floor and helps the beating on Magnus. The referee throws the match out.
Joe dives through the ropes onto all the members of Aces & Eights! Joe calls them cowards and then he says that he made a contingency plan for cowards. Joe says he realized this might happen earlier today and that’s why this Sunday in Boston it will be Garett Bischoff, Wes Brisco, & DOC (who Joe calls a “big shaved ape” which gets a “big shaved ape” chant) vs. Samoa Joe, Magnus, and the returning…JEFF HARDY! Aces & Eights freak out at ringside as Joe and Magnus taunt them.
Footage of Gunner’s return last week is shown. Backstage James Storm says that people have asked him “why Gunner?” and then he says “look at him, he’s a beast!” Storm mentions Gunner’s military background and says “he’s killed people!” He says that Gunner has killed people for a country and he’ll kill for Storm too. Gunner says they have fought each other before so he knows what he’s getting himself into. He says they are going to go to war and Storm needs a warrior.
Backstage Hulk Hogan talks to Brooke and he says he needs to know what happened last week with Bully. Brooke says it’s hard when you see your husband and he says he still loves you. Hulk says he’s just trying to destroy everything and Brooke says she knows, but it’s just hard because she thought he was once a good guy. Brooke says she can’t focus on the Knockouts with Bully running around but Hulk says he believes Sting can get the job done and he’d bet the farm on it.
8-Man Tag Team Match
Bad Influence & Dirty Heels vs. Gunner, “Cowboy” James Storm, “Super Mex” Hernandez, & “Mexican Warrior” Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Gunner shrugs it off and kicks Daniels. Gunner whips Daniels into the ropes and connects with a back elbow. Gunner beats on Daniels in the corner and then whips him into the opposite corner and follows up with a backdrop. Bad Influence whips Chavo into the opposite corner and then Daniels charges at him but Chavo ducks and Kaz goes flying into the turnbuckles! Chavo dropkicks Kaz and then tags Mex in as Kaz tags in Roode. Hernandez clotheslines Roode repeatedly and then takes a charging Aries out with the Get Off Me! AJ Styles is shown arriving in the backstage driving his bike into the backstage area.
Bully Ray tries to rally the troops backstage again. Ray says that AJ had the nerve to turn them down so Anderson better take care of him tonight. Devon says Joseph Park is his responsibility and if Abyss even thinks about showing up then his ass belongs to him. Ray freaks out about Jeff Hardy coming back and says he shouldn’t even be walking after what he did to Hardy. He tells DOC, Garett, & Wes that they better take care of Joe, Magnus, & Hardy. Ray tells KNUX that he has a job for him too. Ray says Hogan is always throwing the word “war” around well tonight they are declaring war on TNA so he wants a lot of victims tonight! He says if he doesn’t get victims then one or even all of them might end up like D-Lo. Ray looks at Devon and says “even you” could end up like that.
Mickie James is shown with her new Knockouts Title backstage.
A great video package announcing the location for Bound for Glory is shown with several of TNA’s wrestlers saying why they will steal the show. San Diego, CA will be the home to the 2013 BFG!
Clips of Mickie’s win last week are shown and then she comes out for her title celebration. That skirt Mickie is wearing has to be the shortest skirt in the history of skirts…I’m not complaining either. Mickie says it feels good to be champ and she just wanted to come out and thank the fans that have supported her. She says this year has been a crazy year for her with her album coming out and now the Knockouts Title. She holds up the belt and says it’s been almost 2 years since she’s held that belt. She says that it’s been a long time coming and for her fans that have stood by her she loves them, but there have been a handful of people that doubted the way she won the title. Mickie says it’s not fair because she deserves the belt so she would like to address that situation right now. Mickie calls out her “dear friend” Velvet Sky.
Velvet comes down to the ring with her knee taped up. Velvet’s skirt is definitely competing with Mickie’s for that “Shortest Ever Title.” Mickie says there has been some negativity towards her because she came to Velvet BEFORE the match to make sure that she wanted to do the match or wait. Mickie says Velvet said “yes” to the match and that’s why she loves her because she was a fighting champion. Mickie says it was sad because Velvet’s knee “went out” and then Mickie won the belt, she sounds extremely condescending during this entire thing.
Velvet takes the microphone and says she can’t tell her what all the support from Mickie & the fans mean to her. Velvet says business is business and she wants her rematch and Mickie says she can have it anytime she wants, but they should wait until she’s healthy. Velvet says she would like her rematch at Slammiversary and Mickie says she would LOVE to do that but Brooke already booked Gail & Terrell at Slammiversary so they can’t have their match. Gail Kim’s music interrupts them.
Gail says she appreciates the love and festivities going on but they need to get one thing straight Mickie would have never won that title without Gail’s help (messing up Velvet’s knee). Gail says she almost destroyed Velvet’s leg and lately she’s been so frustrated to the point that she even took out her own partner Tara. Gail says she’s going to finish what she started and take Terrell out at Slammiversary and make sure that she’s the last Knockout standing. Gail says after that she’s going after what is rightfully hers, the Knockouts Title. Velvet reminds Gail that she’s the first in line for a shot. Gail then kicks Velvet’s knee and drags her to the ring post again, but Terrell runs out and chases her off. Mickie just watched the entire time. Mickie just shrugged as Terrell looked up at her.
Mixed Tag Team Match
Kenny King & Gail Kim vs. Chris Sabin & Taryn Terrell
OBD is going to referee this one. Terrell goes after Gail and trips her before slamming her head into the mat repeatedly. Terrell hits a series of forearms and then a sloppy clothesline. Terrell goes to kick Gail but she rolls out of the way and King tags in. Sabin tags in as well and then he swings at Sabin, but he ducks and chops away at King. Sabin attempts to whip King into the ropes, but King reverses it only to eat an armdrag from Sabin. Sabin hits another armdrag and locks in an armbar. Sabin taunts King by slapping King’s hand as the fans clap with him. Sabin then picks King up, still holding on the arm, and puts him in a hammerlock. King reverses it and then tries to shove Sabin into Terrell, but Sabin stops only to eat a clothesline to the back. King puts the boots to Sabin and then hits the ropes and ducks a clothesline followed up with a Cartwheel Kick to Sabin! King taunts Terrell and then covers Sabin for a nearfall. King puts Sabin in a submission but Sabin fights it off and breaks the hold with a Hip Toss. Finally she covers over for the pin but Sabin kicks out. King hits a Scoop Slam and then attempts a Springboard Guillotine Leg Drop, but Sabin moves out of the way and hits a series of clotheslines and forearms. Sabin whips King into the corner and hits a Running Clothesline and then tosses King back to the center of the ring and hits a Spinning Back Kick. Sabin lifts King up in what looks like Powerbomb but switches in mid move into a Gutwrench Front Slam! 1…2…NO King kicks out! Sabin sets up for something but Gail grabs him by the hair allowing King to attack him from behind. Terrell chases Gail around the ring until King gets between them. Suicide picks up the X-Division Title and then looks at Sabin and they both look down at the belt.
AJ Styles is shown walking backstage.
Tickets go on sale next week for BFG.
A video package highlighting Sting’s past World Title reigns. Great stuff here with Sting talking about his first World Title win over Ric Flair at Great American Bash ’90. He puts over how much he worked to get to that spot and what a World Title means. He says Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, and Hogan are his favorite World Title opponents and puts over the Starrcade match as a massive moment in his career. He says this match is about taking the power away from Bully Ray and stripping Aces & Eights power, and this is will be his one chance to drive the stake through Bully’s heart.
