TNA Impact Wrestling
Wichita Falls, TX (Kay Yeager Coliseum)
August 8, 2013
Commentators: Mr. Anderson, Taz & Jeremy Borash
Report by: Josh Boutwell of Wrestleview.com

Impact Wrestling opens up with Aces & Eights swarming Mike Tenay backstage. Taz says that Tenay turned his back on him and now he’s going to show him what that feels like. Taz will be doing commentary with JB tonight, oh joy.

Highlights from last week lead us into Aces & Eights leader Bully Ray making his way down to the ring accompanied by Taz and Mr. Anderson. Taz looks like such a goof wearing a biker vest and gym shorts. Taz and Anderson sit next to JB while Taz screams at JB saying that he’s sitting at Taz’s desk not JB or Tenay’s.

Bully Ray says he’s not in a very good move as everyone can tell and last week everyone saw the #August1st warning, Tito Ortiz. Bully says nobody does a surprise quite like him and he wasn’t impressed by Tito’s appearance. Bully gives Tito some advice, to stay out of his way or he will smack Tito in his “stupid face.” Ray says reason #2 he’s in a bad mood today is because they arrived today to find out he and Devon are scheduled to be in a tag team match against Chris Sabin and a mystery partner. Bully says he and Devon are the greatest tag team to ever live so it’s beyond disrespectful to not tell him who Sabin’s partner is.

Bully says it doesn’t even matter because next week at Hardcore Justice Sabin will be locked inside a steel cage with Bully which is bad news for Sabin. Bully tells Sabin to get out to the ring so they can get the contract signing over with.

The World Champion, Chris Sabin, makes his way down to the ring and Bully tells Sabin that his belt looks horrible around Sabin. He says he can tell Chris is scared right now. Sabin says that looks can be deceiving and if he remembers earlier this year Bully had the whole wrestling world deceived. Sabin says Bully is so full of crap his eyes are brown and his breath smells like feces. He says a month ago if you would have asked everyone in the back if he could beat Bully probably every one of them would have said no he can’t beat Bully except Sabin himself. Sabin says he did beat Bully and he reminds Bully that it was he and A&8 that brought the hammer into the ring, not Sabin. He says he just gave him a little taste of his own medicine and at Hardcore Justice it will be just he and Bully. Sabin says he WILL beat Bully again.

Bully mocks Sabin and tells him to stop running his mouth. Bully screams for Hogan to come out with the contract and Hogan comes out but not Hulk, Brooke walks down to the ring. Bully asks her what she’s doing and Brooke says she’s here because Hulk is out of town meeting with the board which receives a chorus of boos. Brooke says that they’ve been reviewing the contract for the title match and Bully’s contract as well. She says that Hulk e-mailed her and she’s about to read what he sent.

Brooke says that because of Bully trying to pull the legal stunt with the title TNA is going to hold Bully to the letter of the law with every contract. She says there was a special clause in the Destination X contract and at Hardcore Justice if Bully does not win the belt back he will never get another shot at it!

Bully calls it a load of crap and says he will not be bullied by Brooke, Sabin, or Hulk. He says it will be a cold day in hell when Bully gets bullied by a Hogan. Brooke asks Bully if he’s really going to let the whole world find out what she had to find out in their marriage that he’s all talk and little action. Bully gets pissed and signs the contract and then throws it at her.

Sabin signs the contract and Brooke raises it up as Bully talks trash to Brooke and Sabin.

Mr. Anderson & Taz get pissed at JB for being happy over what just transpired.

JB hypes up Samoa Joe vs. Hardy which is up next.

Hardy hits an Atomic Drop followed by a Leg Drop to the yam bag and then a seated dropkick for a nearfall. Hardy picks Joe up but Joe shoves him away and then tosses him into the corner. Joe charges at Hardy but Hardy nails him with an elbow and then springs to the top and dives off with the Whisper in the Wind! 1…2…NO Joe kicks out! Joe retreats to the corner and Hardy charges at him only to get caught with a Uranage Suplex! Joe lifts Hardy up to the top rope and goes for the Muscle Buster, but Hardy blocks it and then goes for the Twist of Fate! Joe counters into the Coquina Clutch! Hardy almost gets to the ropes but Joe pulls him back to the center of the ring! As it looks like Joe is going to drop down to his back and lock the hold in Mr. Anderson stands up at the announce table as if he’s going to do something. This distracts Joe long enough for Hardy to catch Joe with a Jawbreaker! Hardy stacks Joe up, 1…2…3!

Winner: Hardy via pinfall

Joe stares Anderson down at ringside.

Earlier today Daniels discusses the match with Kazarian tonight. He says he doesn’t understand why Frankie has to be so selfish right now and he says that Bad Influence was built over 15 years of friendship. He says there has to be a leader and a follower or a captain and his crew and the captain has always been Daniels. He says that he’s always been better and Frankie needs to understand that. He says he is 3-0 and Kaz is 0-3 and Daniels’ time is now, and Kaz needs to understand that.

Mr. Anderson leaves the announce table for the match. Anderson slaps Magnus instead of locking up which Magnus responds to in kind. Anderson breaks the referee’s 10 count and then slams Magnus into the ring apron. Back in the ring Anderson hangs Magnus’ arm up in the ropes and twists it. He then hits a series of wristlock shoulder blocks. Magnus shoves Anderson into the corner and then charges at him but Anderson gets his boot up and then hits a shoulder block for a nearfall. Anderson puts Magnus in a Keylock submission. Magnus has a pretty nasty welt on his back from getting tossed into the ring steps. Magnus fights off the hold but Anderson hits him in the back and then goes for a Suplex. Magnus blocks it and reverses into a Vertical Suplex of his own, but Anderson responds with a Flying Armbar! 1…2…NO Magnus kicks out! Anderson and Magnus exchange right hands but Anderson hits Magnus in that arm that he just hit the Flying Armbar on repeatedly before putting him in a wristlock. Anderson slams Magnus to the mat by that arm and then stomps his hand. Anderson swings at Magnus but he ducks and nails Anderson with a Back Suplex! Magnus hits a series of clotheslines and then goes for a Scoop Slam, but Anderson blocks it and hits the ropes but Magnus is right behind him with a clothesline! Magnus whips Anderson into the ropes and goes for another clothesline, but Anderson ducks and then goes for a Cross Body Block. Magnus catches him in midair and hits the Tormentum! Magnus climbs up top but Anderson crotches him on the top rope. Anderson climbs up with Magnus and goes for a Superplex but Magnus knocks him off and then dives off with the Flying Elbow Drop but Anderson rolls out of the way! Magnus looks stunned but then Roode pats him on the back and laughs before leaving as Magnus realizes Roode just cost him 10 points.

Winner: Anderson via DQ

Backstage Bobby Roode says what happened is just a continuation of what happened last week. He says he told everyone that things would change and he went back to the old Bobby Roode to get points on the board. He says he found out who he truly was and says he loves to be selfish. Tito Ortiz makes his way out to the ring and JB asks him what he’s doing in TNA. Ortiz says he knows everyone has lots of questions but he doesn’t have too many answers for them. Before he says anything else Kurt Angle’s music interrupts him. Angle walks out and gets in Tito’s face. Angle says he knows who Tito is and he respects his accomplishments but he has to understand that he is entering Angle’s world. He says this is his ring and he’s earned the right to be called the greatest wrestler alive. He says he’s an Olympic gold medalist and has won more titles than you can shake a stick at. He says he respects Tito and while he’s in TNA he’ll respect Tito’s space but he better respect Angle’s.

Bully says he could come in the ring and double leg Tito and make him tap out and he’s been beating the hell out of Kurt for the past 10 years. Bully says Tito must of not heard him earlier tonight and he introduces himself to Tito. Bully says he is the guy that will smack Tito in his stupid face if he gets in his way. Bully says he’s done with the both of them.

Angle & Tito shake hands before Kurt walks away.

6-Man Tag Team Match
Bro-Mans & Mickie James vs. Gunner, “Cowboy” James Storm, & ODB

Jesse & Robbie’s music is atrocious, but Mickie’s short shorts make up for it though. Storm and Robbie will start the match off. Storm gets Robbie in a side headlock but Robbie shoves him into the ropes only to get hit with a shoulder block. Storm hits the ropes and Robbie leapfrogs him and then goes for a Hip Toss, but Storm counters into one of his own tossing Robbie violently across the ring! Robbie dives off the top but Gunner catches him in midair and he hits a Powerslam while Storm hits Robbie with a Neckbreaker at the same time! 1…2…3!

Winners: Storm, Gunner, & ODB via pinfall (Neckbreaker/Powerslam combo)

Gail Kim attacks ODB from behind after the match! As the referee pulls Gail away Mickie then hits ODB from behind as well. Mickie tries to get a high five from Gail but she doesn’t oblige her.

Backstage Kazarian reminds us that last week that Daniels called him “poor Frankie” and over the last year or so they’ve been teaming Daniels has forgotten than Kaz is a 5-time X-Division Champion and that he’s beaten Daniels many times over the last 11 years. He says tonight isn’t about Bad Influence, it’s about him and about winning the BFG Series. He says tonight its “poor Chris.” Kaz is wearing one of his old school “Kaz” jackets rather than a Bad Influence jacket.

—-COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Backstage Team 3D bitch about Sabin making them wait to find out who his partner is. They argue over whether they’re 23 or 24 time Tag Team Champions but Bully settles on “a lot of times Tag Team Champions.” He says he’s going to give Sabin a taste of what he will get in the cage next week and Devon says he’s going to send a message to the MEM.

BFG Series Match
“Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels (21) vs. Kazarian (0)

Daniels tries to kick Kaz but Kaz catches his foot and then goes for a kick of his own. Daniels catches his foot as well and then spins him around and into an attempt at Back Suplex. Kaz lands on his feet and then goes for a German Suplex but Daniels blocks it and then locks Kaz in a waistlock. Kaz breaks it with a back elbow and then explodes off the ropes with a shoulder block. Daniels gets pissed and shoves Kaz so Kaz answers back. They get into each other’s face and Kaz shoves him down. They circle each other and then they both leave the ring and turn around back at the referee. They just watch as Earl Hebner counts them both out. Kaz & Daniels hug and count along with him.

Winner: DRAW via double countout

Daniels & Kaz raise each other’s arms and both celebrate the win.

Bobby Roode’s music interrupts their celebration and he walks out with a steel chair again. Roode acts like he’s going to attack them with the chair but then drops it and smiles at them. They allow Roode to get into the ring and Roode tells them to climb in with him.

Roode says for the past several months everyone has been paying attention to the Aces & Eights and the reformation of the Main Event Mafia, and the arrival of Rampage Jackson and Tito Ortiz. Roode says while everyone has been paying attention to that they’ve forgotten about the 3 man standing before everyone now. Roode says they are the 3 men that compromise 25% of the BFG Series landscape and says there is strength in numbers. Roode says they are a new force in TNA and he says one of them will walk into the BFG as the winner of the BFG Series. He says that he told the world the game would change and now it has.
