Impact opens up with highlights from last week focusing on the drama with Jeff Jarrett and the GFW invasion.
Jeff Jarrett’s music hits and he makes his way down to the ring along with the GFW roster. Jeff said that hell froze over when he stepped foot back into TNA as a “TNA” chant breaks out. Jeff mocks the crowd by saying that chant humbles him. He says that he celebrated in that very ring with his wife and kids winning the KOTM Title at Slammiversary. He says that he lived and breathed this company for a decade and he was even given that recognition he deserves by being inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame. Jeff says that when Bully was taken out he tried to help Dixie and called the TNA vs. GFW show “off the charts successful.” He says that he gave Dixie just a taste of what a Jeff Jarrett run Impact show could be.
Karen says that she saw all of the work that Jeff had put in for TNA and she did what she had to do to make sure Jeff got what he deserved and that included taking Bully out. Karen says that she saw how much Jeff loved TNA and she says that she called Chris Masters and had him take out both Bully Ray and Drew Galloway. Karen says that she was there for the hard times while all these fans in the Impact Zone were still there waiting to jump on the bandwagon on whatever regime Dixie brought in. She says that she did whatever needed to be done and Jeff thanks her for doing that.
Jeff thanks her for setting the wheels in motion for what is about to take place. Jeff says he is going to the joint over, the place he built. He says that he is taking over TNA in a corporate takeover and he is going to build a wrestling empire in GFW on the back of TNA. Jeff says he still has stock in TNA so there isn’t a damn thing Dixie or anyone else can do about it. Jeff points to the GFW guys and says that the boys in the back better take a look at this roster because no one can hang with them.
Chris Masters says that he is bigger and badder than anyone in the TNA locker room so he challenges anyone in the back to come out and face him right now. Lashley’s music hit and shit is about to get real.
“The Adonis” Chris Mordetzky vs. “The Destroyer” Lashley
Lashley and Chris lockup with Lashley getting Chris in a waistlock and taking him to the ground hard. They lockup again and this time they stalemate as they push each other into the corner. After a clean break Mordetzky kicks Lashley in the gut and locks him in a side headlock. Lashley shoves Chris into the ropes and they run into each other with shoulder tackles but neither guy goes down. Lashley shoots for a leg and quickly puts Chris in a waistlock. Chris backs Lashley into the corner and hits a series of elbows to break the hold. Chris hits the ropes but Lashley leapfrogs him and then connects with a clothesline. Lashley follows up with a Suplex attempt but Chris counters into a Masterlock attempt! Lashley reverses it into a Full Nelson Slam! Lashley attempts a Running Powerslam but Masters blocks it and then connects with a big double sledge. Chris puts Lashley in a Camel Clutch and then cannonballs across the back of Lashley repeatedly. Chris puts Lashley in rear chinlock but Lashley fights back up to his feet and breaks the hold with a series of body shots. Chris rakes the eyes of Lashley and then whips Lashley into the ropes but Lashley backdrops Chris over the top as he charged at Lashley. Lashley climbs out to the floor and connects with a series of chops and right hands. He tries to toss Chris back in the ring but Chris stops him and then shoves Lashley hard into the ring steps. Mordetzky climbs back into the ring and demands the referee count Lashley out. Lashley gets back in the ring and Mordetzky catches him with a Butterfly Suplex for a nearfall. Mordetzky whips Lashley into the corner and charges into a boot from Lashley. They both hit the ropes and connect with clotheslines at the same time. They both get back to their feet and exchange rights and then Lashley ducks one and hits a big German Suplex! Mordetzky retreats to the corner and Lashley comes flying in with a Running Clothesline followed by a Running Shoulder Block! Lashley hits a Delayed Vertical Suplex and then sets up for the Spear but Mordetzky sidesteps him and hits a big Spinebuster! Mordetzky goes for the Masterlock again but Lashley blocks it and counters with an armdrag. Lashley then hits the Dominator! Lashley follows up with The Spear! The GFW roster hits the ring and attacks Lashley!
Winner: Lashley via DQ
The GFW beat Lashley down awhile but Lashley Spears the hell out of Dutt as well! Finally they all get Lashley down and kick the crap out of him until The Wolves hit the ring! The GFW guys eventually beat The Wolves down as well. Sonjay Dutt hits the Moonsault Double Foot Stomp on Davey Richards as Jeff tells Karen Jarrett to come down to the ring with their “little special surprise.”
Karen Jarrett brings a briefcase down to the ring that looks like a Feast or Fired case. Karen says that their friend Magnus gave this case to them, the case that he won awhile back. Earl Hebner comes out and Jeff says that they are cashing in their tag title shot right now! Earl says he isn’t allowing this to go down because of the way this is going down and Earl even shoves Jarrett! Earl then punches Jeff! Jeff lays Earl out and demands that Scott D’Amore bring out another referee. D’Amore pretty much drags referee Brian Stiffler out to the ring as Trevor Lee and Myers continue to beat on The Wolves.
TNA World Tag Team Championships
Brian Myers & Trevor Lee vs. The Wolves (c)
Lee covers Eddie but only gets a nearfall. Lee hits a dropkick on Eddie and gets another nearfall but Edwards refuses to stay down. Myers tags into the ring and the heels double team Eddie in the corner. Myers hits a Vertical Suplex and gets another nearfall for his team. He puts Eddie in a chinlock and then he hits a big Scoop Slam on Eddie for yet another nearfall. Trevor tags back into the ring and they whip Eddie into the ropes but he holds onto them and then catches them with elbows. Eddie quickly catches Trevor with a drop toehold and rolls into a Texas Clover Leaf! Myers tries to break it up but Davey catches him in a Cloverleaf as well! Dutt gets up on the apron but Davey lays him out. As the referee is distracted Trevor Lee decks Eddie with the briefcase and gets the pin!
Winners & NEW TNA Tag Team Champios: Brian Myers & Trevor Lee via pinfall
Myers and Lee celebrate their win along with the rest of the GFW roster.
In the back Bobby Roode says he doesn’t care about the chaos that GFW is causing. He says that he is tired of being disrespected by TNA management and GFW as well so tonight he will go out to the ring and win gold once again. He says PJ Black is in the wrong place with the wrong guy tonight.
In the back JB interviews EC3 and EC3 says that growing up he used to love stories. He says one of the story books that always stood out to him was the “Hardy Boyz Mysteries” though he never read them because he thought the names were stupid. He says he did think that choosing your own adventure was cool but the end of Matt Hardy’s adventure tonight will be disappointing to his fans. He says that Matt says he will never die but he will tonight at the hands of EC3. EC3 taunts Jeff by saying all the things he will make Jeff do as his personal assistant.
Dixie Carter is shown arriving backstage.
Bobby Roode cuts a promo on the stage before the next match. He tells Black to look around the arena and says that they are in TNA not GFW. He says that he is a TNA guy and even a TNA original so everything he sees he helped build over the last decade. He says that over the years some people have hated him and some people have hated him but at the end of the day everytime he steps foot inside that ring he has earned the fans respect. He says he doesn’t know what the hell is going on around there with this “Global Force Wrestling crap” but PJ needs to know one thing this is his house and he’s about to kick PJ Black’s ass out of his house.
“Darewolf” PJ Black (c) vs. “The IT Factor” Bobby Roode
This is Black’s first defense of the KOTM Title which he won a few weeks ago in a King of the Mountain Ladder Match. Black explodes on Roode with a series of elbows as the bell rings but Roode turns it around on Black with a series of forearms. Roode whips Black into the ropes and hits a huge backdrop lifting Black high up into the lights. Roode then clotheslines Black to the floor and follows him out beating Black all aroung ringside. Roode tries to slam Black into the ring steps but Black blocks it and slams Roode into the steps repeatedly. Back in the ring Black lights Roode up with chops and kicks in the corner. Roode answers with chops and kicks of his own. Roode whips Black into the ropes and connects with a clothesline for a nearfall. Roode goes for the Payoff but Black blocks it and counters with a Superkick! Roode rolls to the floor and Black follows him out with a SuicideDive through the ropes! Black climbs back into the ring and hits a second Suicide Dive! Black tosses Roode into the ring and connects with a big springboard move for another nearfall.
Back from the break Roode breaks a chinlock and clotheslines Black followed by hitting the Blockbuster off the top and both men are down now. Roode and Black get back to their feet and exchange huge strikes with each other. Black hits a spinning back kick and then a front kick. Black charges at Roode but Roode backdrops him over the top. Roode attempts the Roode Bomb but Black blocks it and counters a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker into a Reverse DDT! 1…2…NO Roode kicks out! Black charges at Roode in the corner but Roode moves and then Black leaps to the top and dives off with a Tornado DDT for another nearfall! Black hits a Springboard Asai Moonsault for another nearfall! Black argues with the referee and then hits another Moonsault but Roode catches Black in a Crossface! Dutt climbs up on the apron to distract Roode and Black ends up rolling Roode up but Roode kicks out and then goes right into the Crossface again! Drew Galloway runs out and destroys Dutt with a Running Mafia Kick on the floor as he tried to get involved again! PJ escapes the Crossface but eats the Roode Bomb for the pin!
Winner & NEW KOTM Champ: Bobby Roode via pinfall (Roode Bomb)
After the match Jarrett and the GFW guys hit the ring as Roode and Galloway bail through the crowd. Jeff says that he knows Dixie Carter is in the house and they aren’t leaving tonight until they take things over completely. He says they will take back what Dixie stole from him.
Dixie Carter comes out and Jeff says there will be no more Dixie Carter or anymore of her stupid, idiotic business mistakes. Dixie says that she at least admits her mistakes something Jeff has never done in his entire life. Dixie says that all they have ever heard from Jeff is “I, I, I, I” because all he cares about is himself. Jeff says that they were a successful team together once until Dixie stole his power from him and replaced him with regime after regime of failures. Jeff says those days are over and that is why this hostile takeover is going down. Dixie asks if he thinks she will really just stand by and let him do that. Dixie says that Jeff left, no one made him tuck tail and run. Dixie says she didn’t remove Jeff him from power, he removed himself due to his own mistakes and she still stood by him after everything he did. She says that Jeff taught her a lot about wrestling but even more about ego. She says anytime Jeff doesn’t get what he wants he takes his ball and goes home.
Jeff says that with his ownership stake in TNA there isn’t a damn thing she can do about it. Dixie says Jeff is right about his stake in the company but she says she has an offer that Jeff can’t refuse. She suggests one match, a winner take all match, that will assure either she is gone for good or Jeff is gone for good. Dixie says that she should be willing to make that wager for all of the men and women in TNA that have stayed and continue to fight for her. Jeff says that Dixie obviously doesn’t know the real Jeff Jarrett if she could really call him selfish. He says that he lives to serve not to be served like she does. He says that the GFW guys believe in him and GFW because they know he will get in the damn trenches with them and fight. Jeff points out that all the GFW guys are standing with him but no one is standing behind her.
Suddenly Drew Galloway walks behind Dixie and he says that Jeff Jarrett started this and thought the TNA guys would just lay down and die. Drew says that Jeff and GFW can go straight to hell and that he is here to stand up for TNA, Dixie, and the fans. He says that if Jeff wants a hostile takeover he will have to go through “all of us” as The Wolves and then Lashley come out to stand with he and Dixie!
Drew says he sees Jeff’s change in demeanor now and they need to find a white flag because Team TNA is going to win this war.
They show a bunch of clips from the old Jeff Jarrett DVD. It was really weird but I’m guessing there must have been some Bram footage here or something that they replaced after his moronic arrest this week.
Kenny King comes down to the ring and he says that he feels like he has been going through a bit of an identity crisis over the last year. He says there are no flags, colors, or masks and he is now out here on his own. He says he went home and thought about what kind of “King” he wants to be. He says he doesn’t want to be the kind of King that sucker punches people or stands behind or takes orders from someone like MPV. King says that his first order of business as the brand new Kenny King to re-institute something they used to do in TNA called “Open Fight Night”! He says he doesn’t care who it is in the back, whether it is a TNA guy or GFW, if you have the nuts come on down. Bram comes down and my theory about the Jeff Jarrett DVD footage is obviously very wrong.
“Pretty Boy Pitbull” Kenny King vs. Bram
Bram hits the ring and King goes right at him but Bram takes the fight to King. King ends up tossing Bram to the floor and connecting with a beautiful Corkscrew Plancha over the top onto Bram on teh floor. Bram slams King into the ring steps and then tosses him back into the ring. Bram hits a series of European Uppercuts and then whips him into the opposite corner. King floats over a charging Bram into a Sunset Flip for a nearfall. Bram charges into an elbow from King and then King connects with a Flying Elbow followed by a Spinning Enziguri! King follows up with a Flying Knee in the corner for a nearfall. King attempts the Royal Flush but Bram blocks it only for Bram to slam Bram throat first across the top rope. King goes for a springboard dive but Bram moves and hits the Brighter Side of Suffering for the pin.
Winner: Bram via pinfall (Brighter Side of Suffering)
In the back JB interviews the Hardy Boyz. Jeff says that he agreed to this match for Matt because he believes in his family. Matt says that EC3 loves to be a manipulator but EC3 fears him and fears his brother. He says that winning the World Title fuels him and tonight everyone will see that Matt Hardy will not die and neither will his dream to win the World Title.
Vevlet Sky comes down to the ring and says she has come out for a few different reasons. She says that the entire landscape of TNA is hanging in the balance and the entire Knockouts division is evolving. She says that Taryn Terrelle has created a little cult of monsters and it is worse than ever before. Velvet says that after Terrell sent her little minions after Terrell will wish she never met her. She demands Terrell come out right now but instead she appears on the big screen.
Terrell says that her doctor has advised that she remain calm and home for now. Terrell says that they have never truly crossed paths before because she would destroy Velvet on every level. She says Velvet just stumbled out of a Hot Topic store and she says the Dollhouse will destroy her. She says that this is her house and now Velvet must play with her dolls.
The Dollhouse comes down to the ring featuring their newest member Rebel. Velvet asks if they really want to do this right now and it looks like they didn’t bring enough backup with them. Velvet attacks Jade but the numbers get the better of Velvet pretty quickly.
Angelina Love, who I believe is recently announced as pregnant, and Madison Rayne hit the ring and even the odds! The Beautiful People cleans house and Madison grabs a microphone. She says that it looks like playtime is over and Angelina says that The Dollhouse just met the Beautiful People! Velvet says it is on now so Terrell needs to bring it.
The drama that went down between Dixie and Jeff earlier is shown. Dixie talks to Team TNA backstage thanking them for stepping up. They announce that it will be Team TNA vs. Team GFW in Lethal Lockdown two weeks from now with control of TNA on the line.
TNA World Heavyweight Championship
Ethan Carter III (c) w/Tyrus vs. Matt Hardy w/Jeff Hardy
As Matt comes to the ring Josh Matthews talk about how Matt has been trying to become a World Champion for his entire career and how it has alluded him. So is the WWE version of the ECW Championship not considered a World Title? If EC3 retains the title here then Jeff Hardy must become his personal assistant. JB does boxing style intros for this one. They lockup and EC3 gets Matt in a side headlock, but Matt shoves EC3 into the ropes only to eat a shoulder block. EC3 hits the ropes but Matt catches him with a hip toss. Matt connects with a series of elbows and knees before tossing EC3 into the ropes. Matt hits a Back Elbow followed by an Elbow Drop and then a spinning neckbreaker. Matt tosses EC3 to the floor as we head to a break.
Back from the break EC3 attempts a Flying Elbow Drop off the top but Matt rolls out of the way and connects with a series of strikes. EC3 quickly cuts Matt off with a Sleeper but Matt refuses to tap out and counters with a series of Jawbreakers. Matt hits a series of clotheslines and then a Running Bulldog! Matt climbs up top and dives off with a Flying Elbow. Matt then hits the Side Effect for a nearfall. Matt goes for the Twist of Fate but EC3 blocks it and shoves Matt into the referee. Matt hits the Twist of Fate but the referee is down! Tyrus low blows Matt from the outside and EC3 blasts Matt with the world title belt! 1…2…NO Matt kicks out! EC3 gets the title belt again but Jeff grabs it to stop him from using it. Matt rolls EC3 up! 1…2…NO EC3 kicks out and then goes for the One Percenter! Matt blocks it and shoves EC3 into the ropes causing both men to crash head first into each other. EC3 then falls on top of Matt and gets another nearfall! Both men get to their feet and exchange strikes. Matt hits a dropkick through the ropes on Tyrus and then Jeff nails Tyrus with a chair! EC3 attempts a Stinger Splash on Matt in the ring but Matt moves out of the way and then hits a Tornado DDT off the top! 1…2…NO EC3 kicks out! EC3 counters a Twist attempt into one of his own but Matt shoves EC3 into the corner where the referee is. EC3 stops himself before hitting the referee and as Matt runs over and attempts a rollup EC3 catches him with a mule kick to the balls followed by a Sunset Flip for the pin!
Winner & STILL TNA World Heavyweight Champion: EC3 via pinfall (Sunset Flip)
Jeff looks dejected at ringside and EC3 demands that Jeff get in the ring and raise his hand. Jeff eventually climbs in and raises EC3’s hand as Matt watches on.
