Hello everyone, filling in again for CJ Bowman this week. If you all are ready, let’s get to this week’s WWE Main Event!

WWE Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel w/Paul Heyman vs. Cody Rhodes

Axel with a quick arm drag. 2 side headlock takeovers, Rhodes gets out each time with a headscissors. Side headlock, followed by a shoulder tackle from Axel. Both block each other’s hiptoss attempts, Rhodes with a fireman’s carry takeover. Leg trip by Axel, Rhodes counters out of a front chancery. Hammerlock applied with knee drops to the arm by Rhodes. Rhodes gets a pinning predicament for 1. Axel with a waistlock, Rhodes trips him up. Axel goes to the outside to confer with Heyman. Rhodes holds open the ropes for Axel, Axel shoos him off. Back in, Axel backs Rhodes into the corner. Axel works on the arm, Rhodes goes up & over, Sunset Flip for a nearfall. Rhodes goes to work on the arm, Axel with a forearm. Axel with shots to the back of Rhodes. Rabbit lariat sends Rhodes to the outside. Crowd chants “Heyman sucks”. Axel goes out after Rhodes, but Rhodes fights back. However, Axel whips Rhodes hard into the barricade.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Axel with a suplex for a nearfall. Axel pulls at the face of Rhodes, chinlock applied. Crowd wills on Rhodes. Rhodes fights out, but Axel with a clothesline. Axel again pulls at the face of Rhodes. Rhodes fights back, heads up top, but Axel slams him down for a nearfall. Dropkick for another nearfall. Elbows to the back of the head by Axel. Rhodes fights back, but Axel whips him sternum-first into the turnbuckles for another nearfall. Axel with a knee to the ribs, followed by a slam. Axel to the middle rope, front elbow drop for a nearfall. Axel re-applies the chinlock as the crowd chants “Walrus” at Heyman. Rhodes fights out, but Axel with another rabbit lariat for a nearfall. Rhodes avoids Turning Heads, Axel runs into boots. Rhodes heads up top, connects with the moonsault.

Rhodes sidesteps Axel and he goes to the outside. Back in, Axel runs into boots. Rhodes with a clothesline and a back elbow. Drop-down throat thrust, followed by the Holly Low Kick. Axel avoids the Disaster Kick, but Rhodes with an Alabama Slam for a close nearfall. Axel comes back with the Saito Suplex for a nearfall. Axel to the middle rope, Rhodes stops him. Rhodes brings Axel out of the corner with a Muscle Buster for a close nearfall. Rhodes fires up and drags Axel from the apron, but Axel kicks him off.

Axel Cutter for the win.

The Prime-Time Players (“Mr. No Days Off” Darren Young & Titus O’Neil) vs. The Real Americans (“The All-American American” Jack Swagger & “The Swiss Superman” Antonio Cesaro) w/Zeb Colter

Young throws his shirt at Cesaro before the bell. Cesaro & Young start. Cesaro backs Young onto the corner. Young comes back with a clothesline. Titus in, sends Young into Cesaro. Titus with a slam, does his seal call. Young in, double sledge to Cesaro. Cesaro then whips Young over the ropes and to the outside. Swagger tags in and then wipes out Young with a clothesline on the outside. Back in, Swagger gains a nearfall. Seated double chickenwing applied. Young fights out, Sunset flip for a nearfall. Cesaro in, clotheslines Young from the apron. Swagger hits the Swagger Bomb, then Cesaro with the leapfrog double stomp. Deadlift side salto by Cesaro. Swagger in, belly-to-belly suplex. Cesaro in, double urnangi slam, but Titus breaks it up. Chinlock applied, Cesaro mocks Titus’s call, crowd wills on Young. Young fights back, but Cesaro prevents him from making a tag. Young with an enziguri.

Titus & Swagger in. Titus with 2 shoulder tackles and a standing fallaway slam. Titus fires up by shaking the ropes. Big boot for a nearfall. Titus knocks Cesaro off the apron, but Swagger with a powerslam, Young breaks it up. Cesaro with a dropkick to Young.

Titus catches Swagger with the Clash of the Titus for the win.

Winners: The Prime-Time Players by pinfall (Clash of the Titus)

PTP celebrate their win with the “Millions of Dollars” dance afterwards and the whistle.

Kofi Kingston vs. Fandango w/Summer Rae

Fandango with a snapmare into a chinlock. Kofi counters out and works on the arm, Fandango to the ropes. Roll-up by Kofi for a nearfall. Side headlock applied, Fandango reverses. Shoulder tackle, Kofi with 2 leapfrogs, followed by a flying back elbow. Kofi goes back to the arm, knee drop to it. Fandango with a knee to the ribs. Kofi lands on his feet off a monkey flip, hits his own. Fandango avoids a baseball slide, but Kofi pulls him off the apron. Kofi lands on the apron off an alley-oop, hits a springboard crossbody. Summer Rae distracts Kofi, allowing Fandango to hot-shot the arm. Fandango sends Kofi shoulder-first into the ringpost.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Fandango with a key lock applied. Kofi fights out, but Fandango blocks a Sunset Flip and knee drops Kofi’s injured arm. Fandango gains a nearfall. Fandango with a fireman’s carry while keeping hold of the arm, followed by another knee drop. Key lock re-applied, crowd wills on Kofi. Kofi fights out, Fandango runs into a boot. Kofi charges, but Fandango with a spinning heel kick for a nearfall. Hammerlock suplex for another nearfall. Key lock again applied, crowd again wills on Kofi. Kofi counters out with a jawbreaker. Kofi avoids a charge, hits a double chop, a clothesline, a dropkick and the Superman clothesline. Boom Drop connects. Kofi sets up for Trouble in Paradise, but Summer Rae pulls at his leg.

The ref catches it and calls for the bell.

Winner: Kofi Kingston by DQ

Kofi celebrates his win while Summer apologizes to Fandango as we go to credits.
