We start with a promo from Sami Zayn. Zayn says that he can win the big one, but has lost a few of them in the past. He is on his road to redemption and it ends by beating Adrian Neville and become the NXT Champion. Titus O’Neil walks in and says that Zayn’s road to redemption has to go through him. Zayn asks if that is a challenge. Titus says its an open invitation. Zayn says that there is a roadblock on his road to redemption, he will go through it.

We see the usual intro, then go to the opening match.

#1 Contenders Tag Team Battle Royal: The Ascension (Konnor & Viktor) vs. The Vaudevillains (“The Artiste” Aiden English & Simon Gotch) vs. The Jersey Boys (“Big Cass” Colin Cassady & Enzo Amore) vs. Buddy Murphy & Wesley Blake and Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger

Ascension quickly eliminate Jordan & Dillinger and Blake & Murphy. Jersey Boys & Ascension go back and forth. Viktor sends Enzo into Cass, eliminating the Jersey Boys. Down to Ascension & Vaudevillains. The music of Hideo Itami hits and he makes his way onto the rampway.

The Ascension is distracted by this, allowing the Vaudevillains to eliminate them and win the match.

Winners and #1 Contenders to the NXT Tag Team Titles: The Vaudevillains

Afterwards, Itami runs in and goes after the Ascension, but the numbers are again too much and the Ascension beat down Itami. Double slam lays out Itami. Konnor grabs a mic and says that they don’t want Itami in NXT. Go back to Japan and if you don’t, we will send you back there in a box.

Back from commercial, before the next match, we go to a promo from Carmella. Carmella says she is the Princess of Staten Island and of NXT. You haven’t met a chick like her around here, so you better be careful.

“The Princess of Staten Island” Carmella vs. Emma

Carmella with a quick roll-up for a nearfall. Emma with a shoulder tackle, then gains a nearfall. Carmella with her own shoulder tackle for a nearfall. Carmella takes control on Emma. Body scissors applied, Emma bridges back and gains a nearfall. Emma gets free, spinebuster for a nearfall. Emma with a series of throat shots, then locks in the DilEmma in the corner. Emmamite Sandwich in the corner for a nearfall. Emma goes for the Emma Lock, but Carmella kicks her off and hits a drop toe hold.

Inverted Head Scissors applied, Emma taps.

We see video of the WWE Performance Center and a recent article done by Muscle & Fitness magazine.

Justin Gabriel vs. “The New York Nightmare” Bull Dempsey

Bull knocks down Gabriel early. Gabriel fights back, but Bull knocks him back down, elbow drop for a nearfall. Gabriel with a back heel kick, but Bull with a side slam for a nearfall. Cobra Clutch applied, but Gabriel gets free. Gabriel with a reverse DDT, followed by a springboard moonsault for a nearfall. Series of Victim Kicks by Gabriel, but Bull comes back with a back body drop, followed by a running body block.

Bull heads up top, diving headbutt for the win.

Winner: “The New York Nightmare” Bull Dempsey by pinfall (Top Rope Diving Headbutt)

We go to a promo from Bayley, who says she didn’t think Becky Lynch would turn on her, but Sasha Banks has her brainwashed. If Lynch wants to bring Sasha with her next week, I’ll bring Charlotte.

“The Lone Wolf” Baron Corbin vs. Tony Briggs

Corbin with a knee to the ribs, End of Days for the win.

Sylvester LeFort vs. Marcus Louis

Louis charges at LeFort as the bell sounds and hits a series of knees to the ribs. Louis yells at LeFort, stops him from leaving and hits a clothesline.

Urnangi by Louis for the win.

Winner: Marcus Louis by pinfall (Urnangi)

We go to a promo from Hideo Itami, who says that he is sick of the Ascension’s two-on-one attacks. Next week, if they want a fight, he’ll bring a friend to help him out.

Main Event in a Return Match: “The Real Deal” Titus O’Neil vs. Sami Zayn

Titus uses his power to throw Zayn around early. Zayn fights back, but Titus continues to take control. Zayn goes for a crossbody, but Titus catches him and hits a series of backbreakers, followed by ragdolling Zayn to the mat as we go to commercial.

Commercial

Back from commercial as Titus locks Zayn in a bearhug. Titus with headbutts to the chest of Zayn as he keeps the bearhug applied. More headbutts by Titus, then he gets a nearfall. Titus continues to take control of Zayn in the corner. Zayn fights back, but Titus with a slam, then mocks the “OLE” chant of the crowd. Titus sends Zayn to the outside. Ref begins his 10 count and Zayn just barely gets back in. Titus throws Zayn back outside. Zayn gets on the apron and hits a series of shoulders to the ribs, then hot-shots Titus across the top rope. Zayn heads up top, crossbody for a nearfall. Titus comes back with a clothesline for a nearfall. Backbreaker by Titus across his shoulder for a nearfall. Titus begins to get frustrated. Titus charges at Zayn in the corner, but Zayn catches him and hits the Exploder into the corner.

OLE KICK!! 1-2-3!

Winner: Sami Zayn by pinfall (OLE Kick)

Afterwards, the music of Tyler Breeze hits and he makes his way onto the rampway. Breeze says to Zayn if he gets a title shot because he beat some uggos like Kidd & Titus? If you want to be #1 Contender, you have to be the man you never beat, Prince Pretty. I talked to William Regal and the Road to Redemption will take a detour into Cuteville next week. The two stare each other down as the show closes.
