Booker T issues apology for comment made during RAW

WWE Hall of Famer Booker T posted the following on Twitter last night after RAW apologizing for a comment he made during the broadcast in reference to the late Owen Hart during Neville’s match with Luke Harper:

“I would never say anything to disrespect the legacy of Owen Hart. If I did offend anyone, I apologize.”

The comment in reference by Booker was when JBL noted that Neville could become the first high-flying King of the Ring. Booker responded with, “Of course Owen was a high-flyer, but not like this. He couldn’t defy gravity.” That comment led to some thinking Booker was putting light on the tragic death of Owen Hart back at Over the Edge in May 1999 when he fell from the rafters, leading to Booker’s apology.
