UFC announced late Wednesday night that as a result of a potential USADA (U.S. Anti-Doping Agency) violation with Jon Jones stemming from a sample collection obtained on June 16, the new main event for UFC 200 this Saturday night in Las Vegas will be WWE star Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt.
Jones, who was scheduled to challenge UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event, was pulled from the card due to “insufficient time for a full review before the scheduled bout” according to a statement released by the UFC on Wednesday. Lesnar vs. Hunt is scheduled to remain at three rounds.
To say this Saturday got even bigger for Lesnar is an understatement.
