Team Hell No kicks off Smackdown Live

Renee Young is in the ring welcoming us to Smackdown Live. She introduces, together for the first time in 5 years, Kane and Daniel Bryan, Team Hell No.

We are reminded that Team Hell No will challenge The Bludgeon Brothers for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Extreme Rules in two weeks.

Renee talks about Team Hell No creating headlines last week and the “complicated relationship” they’ve had in the past as a team. Bryan said that is the beautiful thing about their relationship – some times they fight, some times they hug, but they always deliver in the ring. Kane talks about standing toe-to-toe against The Shield in a TLC match and graduated – with honors- from anger management.

Renee asks Kane why he came back. Kane said Daniel can have a bit of a temper and that he “always has a demon watching over him.” He mentions Bryan’s recent troubles with the Bludgeon Brothers. Bryan says regardless, he promises they will become the new Smackdown Tag Team Champions. The crowd starts a loud “YES” chant. Bryan points out the last time they were in the ring together they were opponents.

Kane says that was then. Bryan says Kane tried to end his career. He adds Kane tried to Tombstone him on the floor and then on the steps. “It wasn’t even a match,” adds Bryan. Kane says they need to concentrate on what unites them if they want to beat the Bludgeon Brothers. Bryan says Kane tried to abduct his wife. Kane says “tried” and agrees they have had differences. He reiterates that he has always had Bryan’s back.

Bryan disagrees. Kane says he has. Bryan says no. Kane says yes. They say “no” and “yes” back and forth on the mic. The Usos walk out to interrupt Kane and Bryan. They talk about the tag team division getting hot. The Usos talk about the old Team Hell No t-shirts, but question why they are getting title shots so quickly. The question Team Hell No getting a title shot by just hugging. The Usos hug and equate that to title opportunities.

Bryan wants to see if The Usos can beat Team Hell No…right now. Kane adds they will consider this as a team and get back to them. Bryan tells Kane he isn’t the weak link. Smackdown GM Paige walks out to interrupt. She talks about her obligation to do what is right for the WWE Universe. Paige reminds everyone about the title match at Extreme Rules between Team Hell No and The Bludgeon Brothers. She then books Team Hell No vs. The Usos for tonight’s main event. Paige adds that if The Usos are able to beat Team Hell No tonight, they will be added to the championship match at Extreme Rules.
