Edge’s music hits and the crowd erupts. Edge gloats in a pyro display and makes his way down to the ring. Tony Chimel let’s out a big “Sooooooooper Star” during the introduction. Also, Jerry Lawler is wearing a polo shirt rather than his normal majestic attire. Edge welcomes the fans to an all-new edition of the Cutting Edge. Supposedly Triple H thought that bringing back Edge would be good for business, especially if Edge has a reunion with his former partner. Edge assures the audience that he is not speaking of Christian, but instead his Rated RKO tag partner. Edge claims to not have an issue with the way Orton cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. For sure Edge has done that himself a few times. Edge’s grievance is that Orton has become a stooge. Edge comforts the crowd that Orton will not be his guest tonight, instead he is going to have a different Superstar that he feels will be good for business.

Daniel Bryan’s music hits and the bearded Superstar cheers his way down to the ring. Bryan says that it is easy to come out when all of the fans are on their feet and shouting his name. Bryan declares that no matter how many times he is attacked from behind or sucker punched that he will fight on. Daniel promises to win the belt at Night of Champions.

Edge is not sure of whether or not Bryan can defeat Randy Orton, so he asks Bryan. Ryan responds in the affirmative. The question and answer session looks to continue – until the music of The Viper hits.

Randy Orton walks out onto the ramp with a microphone. Orton says that it is a shame that the only place that gives a crap about Edge is Canada. Orton says it is also a shame that Edge’s body failed him at such a young age.

Edge responds that the only shame is that Orton pretends to be the face of the company, but really all he does is resemble another body part (like a naughty part, get it? Tehehe). Edge continues until another theme hits.

Triple H walks out to his heel intro and joins Orton on the ramp. Edge tells Triple H that he is a terrible validator of talent. At one point HHH did not see any potential in Edge, Chris Jericho or John Cena. Triple H responds that he is just trying to do what is right for business. He nods that he spent a fair sum to bring Edge in tonight in order to promote the series ‘Haven’ on Syfy. With the plug out of the way, Triple H addresses the talent issue. Trips admits that he was wrong about Cena and Jericho. Triple H also admits that the jury is still out on Daniel Bryan. However, Triple H was right about Edge. He claims that the Rated R Superstar was a failure. Triple H drills the message home by saying that Edge never drew a dime.

Triple H says that guys like Cena and Jericho proved him wrong. Tonight he is going to give Daniel Bryan that same chance. Tonight Daniel Bryan will have that chance against Dean Ambrose. Since the Shield will be in his corner, Bryan will have Edge in his. As well as the man who was forced to punch him last week, The Big Show. Triple H claims to not be a dictator.

Edge responds that he isn’t a dictator – just a dick (guess he didn’t have to allude to naughty parts this time). Triple H notes that Edge can’t fight due to his bum neck. So since he can’t attack Edge, Triple H will take it out on someone that Edge loves.

The Shield carries out a beaten and battered Christian and drops him on the ramp. The Shield, Orton and Triple H head to the back as Edge runs up to check on his friend.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon are talking in an office as Edge charges in to confront the COO. The Shield is on hand to protect the boss. Triple H commands Edge to get out before The Shield escorts him out.

Meanwhile Axel goes on the attack in the ring. Kofi is pushed into the corner and Axel knees him repeatedly. The referee tells Axel to back off but he refuses which causes the disqualification.

Heyman announces that he is going to return home in order to receive medical treatment. He vows to return one day.

Brad Maddox comes out onto the entrance ramp with a medical trainer. Maddox says that the WWE has a fully certified medical staff. Maddox gets into the ring and says that if Heyman is legitimately injured than the only way he will be removed from the match is if Dr. Sampson, the WWE doctor, confirms the severity of the injury. Brad calls for a chair.

Heyman is seated as the doctor begins to examine. He rolls up Paul’s pant leg and begins the examination. The crowd chants, “this is awkward”. The doctor begins to extend his leg. Heyman is not pleased and threatens him with a lawsuit. Heyman yelps at one point. Maddox asks him if Heyman is injured. The doctor drops some medical jargon with the result being that Heyman is okay. Paul at first claims that there is some personal vendetta at work.

CM Punk’s music hits and he charges down to the ring with a kendo stick. Axel and Heyman scurry out but Heyman’s doctor is hit. Heyman has miraculously recovered and runs away into the crowd. Punk turns his attention back to the doctor in the ring. He assures him that he won’t attack and even holds the rope for him to exit. At the last instant Punk unloads with the kendo stick. Punk and the crowd are fired up as he relentlessly swings at the doctor like a piñata.
