NJPW reportedly turned down working relationship with IMPACT, AXS deal lost soon after

NJPW declined working with IMPACT

According to a report from F4WOnline, New Japan Pro Wrestling turned down an offer to enter into a working relationship with IMPACT Wrestling, leading to the company’s show being removed from AXS TV.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment, which is the parent company of IMPACT Wrestling and has a majority stake in AXS TV, approached NJPW about a working relationship with IMPACT. If the two sides reached an agreement, NJPW would have remained on AXS TV.

NJPW ultimately turned down the deal, leading to their removal from AXS TV programming. The deal with AXS TV was initially supposed to be until 2021. There are no other plans for the company to be on television in the United States for the time being. NJPW content can be accessed at njpwworld.com.
