According to F4WOnline, Colt Cabana has signed a new AEW contract, “earmarked” under Ring of Honor. It is being said that this is something Matt and Nick Jackson had pushed for. It was also noted in the report that rather than continuing to perform in AEW, Cabana will be fully part of the ROH brand whenever it relaunches.
It is also being said that Cabana signing under ROH could be due to the existing issues he has with CM Punk over the defamation suit that was filed against WWE doctor Chris Amann filed by both men in 2015. Cabana then turned around and filed a suit against Punk in 2018 claiming the two had a verbal contract that Punk agreed to cover Cabana’s portion of legal fees. In 2019, Punk filed a countersuit against Cabana and the two sides settled out of court that September.
