The latest Quinnipiac poll shows that Linda McMahon would be favored to win the Republican nomination for the open Senate seat in Connecticut this November, but would get “beaten handily” in the election. McMahon currently leads Chris Shays 51% to 42% among Republicans. However, Democrat Chris Murphy runs 52% to 37% ahead of McMahon and Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz runs ahead 49% to 39%.
