According to Fightful Select, Cedric Alexander was released by WWE.

Cedric Alexander took to social media to announce his departure from WWE, after an almost nine-year run in the company.
After leaving Ring of Honor, Alexander first signed with WWE in 2016. Alexander won the Cruiserweight Championship tournament at WrestleMania 34 to win the title. He was also part of Hurt Business, having held the Raw Tag Team Titles with Shelton Benjamin.
Alexander had been part of the NXT brand since July of 2024, prior to his now departure from WWE.
