Report on the latest in the Janel Grant case against Vince McMahon and WWE

Janel Grant responded on Friday before the United States District Court of Connecticut.

Grant filed her response regarding the amended lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis, to be moved to arbitration.

Grant’s attorneys stated, “It is unsurprising that Defendants wish to avoid confronting the uncomfortable truths Ms. Grant raises in her Complaint. However, nothing Defendants raise in their Objections overcomes the liberal presumption in Plaintiff’s favor here. Leave to amend should be granted.”

Vince McMahon’s legal team claims that Grant’s side added new items to the lawsuit that were not in the initial suit and that the new claims should be thrown out, claiming this was done in order to gain more media coverage which has now led to prejudice against Vince McMahon and more reputational harm.  Furthermore, they also complained about the delay in filing the new complaint being too long and that the investigation by the SEC has nothing to do with the with case, which includes Dr. Carlon Colker, who was brought into the case with the amended lawsuit.
