Impact Wrestling opens up this week with a video package recapping AJ Styles’ drama and the drama surrounding the accusations of James Storm and the A’s & 8’s.

Bully Ray’s entrance music sounds off and the bully of TNA makes his way down to the ring. Bully uses his “Twittah Machine” on the way to the ring and then reminds us who he is. He says he’s the leader of the “Bully Nation” and then says he actually gives credit to Joseph Park. He says that he learned something from him, that if there is enough evidence stacked up against somebody then they must be guilty. Ray says all of the “freakin’ evidence” puts right at James Storm and he’s going to prove that Storm is behind A’s & 8’s, but first he’s going to beat him in the BFG Series tonight. Ray says he’s going to go to Hardcore Justice and beat Storm, Hardy, & Robbie E in the Tables Match and get 20 more points. Ray tells the fans to stop booing him because they know he’s right. He says the reasons Storm is behind A’s & 8’s is because of all of the facts he has against Storm, but before he can tell us what those facts are the Cowboy’s music hits.

Storm interrupts Ray and tells Ray to shut the hell up because all he did was sit out here and bore the people. He says that he hasn’t heard one fact come out of Ray’s mouth and he’s sick & tired of people pointing the finger at him and not believing him off his word. Storm says that most of all he’s just sick & tired of being sick & tired. Storm says he didn’t have anything to do with the A’s & 8’s attacks because he’s more worried about the BFG Series and winning back his World Heavyweight Championship. Storm says Ray has got this “creek swimming, moonshine sipping, beer drinking, Johnny Cash listening son of a gun all wound up!” Storm says what they do in his neck of the woods when two guys have a problem is they draw a line in the dirt and one guy crosses it you kick the crap out of each other. Storm draws an imaginary line across the mat and then says he’ll give Ray to the count of 3 before Storm crosses that line and kicks Ray’s ass. Storm starts counting but just as Storm gets to three Ray bails out of the ring. Storm says that’s what he thought but that line is still there so he can go back and give the message to anybody that doesn’t believe him can come out and fight him. A weird voice interrupts them.

We cut to an image of several masked men, one especially large one that is speaking (with a distorted voice), at a table. He says they were just taking care of a little “club business” when they heard that Sting was giving them an open invitation to come on the show tonight. He says that takes a lot of balls and they like that so they’re going to come on tonight and TNA will see a lot from them, but they are doing it on their time and their terms.

Ray screams at Storm and says Storm is behind it and everybody knows it now.

—–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A replay of A’s & 8’s warning is shown.

In the back Pope says the BFG Series hasn’t quite gone the way he intended but at Hardcore Justice The Pope is going to get those 20 points and get right back into the game. He says that World Title shot belongs to Pope and the congregation.

Mr. Anderson is sitting at the broadcast table for the next match.

BFG Series Match
“Whole F’N Show” Rob Van Dam vs. Magnus

Both of these guys will be involved in the 4-Way Falls Count Anywhere Match at Hardcore Justice along with Anderson and Pope. Magnus dares him to do it again but as RVD hits the ropes Magnus catches him with a clothesline that sends RVD over the top and to the floor! Magnus follows RVD out and slams him into the guardrail and then he puts the boots to him. Magnus slams RVD into the ring apron and continues to stomp on Van Dam all around ringside. Magnus tosses RVD back into the ring and gets the first nearfall of the match. Magnus whips RVD into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but RVD ducks and then attempts a Cross Body Block, but Magnus catches him in midair and hits a modified version of his Tormentum (instead of hitting it out from a Fireman’s Carry position, he did it from a Fall Away Slam position)! 1…2…NO RVD kicks out! In the back Jason Hervey approaches Roode with the camera and Roode says there may not be any contract signing between Aries & Roode because there is some language in the contract that he and his attorney aren’t happy about. He says if things don’t go his way his lawyer might not let it happen this Sunday, and then he says “let the games begin” and walks away.

Devon tags back in and Scoop Slams Daniels followed by a Leg Drop. 1…2…NO Daniels kicks out. Garett tags right back in and the babyfaces whip Daniels into the ropes and connects with a Double Hip Toss followed by an Atomic Drop from Garett. Garett hits the ropes but Kaz hits from behind and then Daniels nails Garett with an STO! Daniels hits Garett with repeated right hands and then tags Kazarian back in. Daniels Hip Tossses Kaz into a Somersault Leg Drop on Garett! 1…2…NO Garett kicks out! Kaz tosses Garett into Daniels’ boot and then tags him back in. Kaz whips Garett into a back elbow from Daniels and then Daniels climbs up top and grabs Garett’s hands and then puts his foot on Garett’s chest and stomps him to the mat. Daniels mocks the crowd and then Devon before covering Garett for another nearfall. Daniels tosses Garett into the corner and puts the boots to him. Kaz tags back in and the heels whip Garett into the opposite corner. Kaz then whips Daniels into an attempt at a Splash but Garett moves and then rolls underneath a Lariat attempt from Kaz and tags Devon in! Devon with right hands to both the heels and then he nails Daniels with a Flying Shoulder Block and a Neckbreaker to Kaz! —–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

A great video package hyping up the BFG Series Matches for Sunday is shown with each guy talking about the BFG Series and the Hardcore Matches they will be in at Hardcore Justice.

Robbie E and Robbie T are in the ring accompanied by a table. Robbie says that he knows no one thinks he has a chance of winning the BFG Series but he’s got 5 points. He says “I GOT 5 POINTS BRO!” Robbie says at Hardcore Justice after he wins his Tables Match he’ll have 20 more points and everyone will then say that he’s going right to BFG. He says that he’s going to put the same guy through the table that he beat for his 5 points, Jeff Hardy. Robbie E taunts Hardy and reminds Hardy of his loss to Robbie a few weeks ago (by countout). Robbie says that just like he beat him for 5 points, he’s going to list the 5 reasons Hardy will never be on his level but before he can get into it Jeff Hardy’s music cuts him off.

Hardy comes down and Robbie taunts him the entire time he walks down the ramp. Hardy climbs into the ring and nails Robbie T with a Jawbreaker and then tosses him out to the floor. Robbie E screams at him to relax and says that he was just playing. Hardy slaps the holy hell out of Robbie and then goes to Suplex him through the table but Robbie T attacks him from behind. He Powerbombs Hardy right through the table and then Robbie E goes back to taunting Jeff Hardy!

In the back AJ asks how bad at sex do you have to be for someone to not even remember having it with you and that he doesn’t even drink so you would think that he would remember having sex with her. AJ says he’s “jet lagged” and he has to get focused so Hervey needs to get out of his face.

—–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break Tenay & Taz discuss the Ladder Match for this Sunday when Samoa Joe interrupts them and says he’s not one to waste time. He says the bias in this company is really funny and it seems like anyone in the world can come out there and say what they’re going to do in the BFG Series, but there is only one man that’s relevant and that’s him. He says that he’s been dueling for the top spot since the beginning and now he’s not allowed to come and say what he wants, and that’s ridiculous. Joe says that the two guys that are about to be in the ring, AJ & Angle, are going to get beat down this Sunday by Joe and then he says that somewhere out there Daniels is buying himself a “mancini” in an Outlet Mall and he’s going to beat his ass too Sunday. He says anyone that get’s in his way will get it because he’s getting his 20 points whether you like it or not!

BFG Series Match
“The Phenomenal” AJ Styles vs. “Olympic Hero” Kurt Angle

Crackhead Claire is sitting ringside for this one and cheering AJ as he comes to the ring, that obviously bodes well for AJ. These two have tore it up many times over the years. AJ and Angle lockup and AJ gets Angle in a hammerlock, but Angle breaks it with back elbows. Angle this the ropes but AJ leapfrogs him and then connects with the Phenomenal Dropkick! Angle rolls out of the ring and AJ slingshots himself into a Plancha onto Angle on the floor!

—–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Back from the break AJ has Angle in a Front Facelock but Angle fights up to his feet and rushes AJ into the corner before tossing him into the opposite corner. Angle charges at AJ but AJ gets his boot up and then charges at Angle. Angle catches AJ with the Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex! Angle hits AJ with a Snapmare Takeover and locks in a headlock. AJ fights up to his feet and nails Angle with a stiff leg kick and then follows up with a chop. AJ attempts to whip Angle into the corner but Angle reverses it and then charges at AJ. Angle puts AJ in a headlock as Crackhead Claire is chanting AJ’s name along with the fans. AJ fights up to his feet and hits Angle with back elbows and then a big right hand followed by a series of chops. AJ whips Angle into the ropes and goes for a clothesline but Angle ducks and then AJ attempts a Spinning Clothesline but Angle clotheslines AJ at the same time as well! Both men are down. AJ nails Angle with a clothesline and then a back elbow and a Spinning Heel Kick as both men go to their feet. AJ lifts Angle up onto his shoulders and hits a Fireman’s Carry into a Backbreaker! 1…2…NO Angle kicks out! AJ charges at Angle but Angle moves and AJ springs over the top rope to the apron. AJ then springboards off the top for the Flying Forearm, but Angle ducks and AJ lands on his feet. AJ turns around and swings at Angle but Angle ducks and nails him with the Rolling German Suplexes! Angle bounces back and goes for a clothesline but AJ ducks and hit’s the Rolling German Suplexe’s ripping it completely out of Angle’s playbook and using it on him! As AJ rolls through for the 2nd one, though, Angle blocked it and countered right back into the Ankle Lock! AJ rolls through and sends Angle into the turnbuckles! AJ goes after Angle but Angle backdrops him over the top rope. AJ lands on the apron and nails Angle with a series of right hands. AJ then hits the Springboard Flying Forearm followed by the Styles Clash! 1…2…NO Angle still kicks out and AJ can’t believe it! AJ climbs up top but Angle springs up to his feet and up to the top with a Belly-to-Belly Superplex! 1…2….NO AJ STILL kicks out and Mike Tenay almost has a brain aneurism out of excitement! Angle and AJ both sell the exhaustion of the match. Angle climbs up to the top rope and goes for the Picture Perfect Moonsault, but AJ moves out of the way! AJ rolls out to the apron and goes for the Springboard 450, but Angle gets his knees up! Olympic Slam! 1…2…3!

Winner: Angle via pinfall (Olympic Slam)

As AJ rolls out of the ring and starts to limp up the ramp Crackhead Claire tries to give him some motivational words but AJ ignores her and walks away. I believe all males have received the look that Crackhead Claire gives AJ as he walks away, and it’s not a pleasant one.

A’s & 8’s says they are playing a game and they love handing out the Deadman’s Hand. They run off the list of guys they’ve handed the deadman’s hand to and he says that their next target is close and we’ll find out tonight who gets it.

Anderson approaches Storm in the back and says it’s so funny what Storm’s “boys” just said, but Storm says they ain’t his boys. Anderson says it sure is funny how anytime they do something it seems to benefit Storm. Anderson says if he just so happens to be Storm behind this they’re going to have another discussion and it’ll be kind of like this, except different.

—–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

In the back Austin Aries is talking to someone on his phone about Roode always complaining and he says he’ll take care of it tonight. Aries says he’s not a lawyer but he has nothing to do with the language in the contract, but he’s going to do whatever it takes to get this thing done and get Roode in the ring.

A replay of Madison’s controversial win last week is shown as Gail Kim comes to the ring.

Non-Title Match
Gail Kim vs. Miss Tessmacher

Gail tries to attack Tessmacher as she comes into the ring with a sliding dropkick, but Tessmacher moves and Gail goes flying through the ropes! Tessmacher hits Gail with Forearm Smashes and then tosses her into the ring. Tess charges at Gail but Gail catches her with a Hot Shot onto the top rope and then she put she puts the boots to the champ. Gail hits Madison with a series of knees and body kicks but Tess comes right back with forearms. Tessmacher attempts to whip Gail into the corner but Gail reverses it. Tessmacher attempts a float over as Gail comes charging at her but Gail catches her on her shoulders and then hits a Gutbsuter! 1…2…NO Tessmacher kicks out! Gail whips Tessmacher into the corner and connects with a Body Splash in the corner and then she drapes Tessmacher over the middle rope and stands on her. Gail taunts Tessmacher and stomps on her and kicks her. She hits Tessmacher with a European Uppercut and then whips her into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Tessmacher ducks and hits a Flying Forearm. Tessmacher hits a series of body shots but Gail kicks her away and then locks in a Body Scissors. Gail hits another Gutbuster and then taunts the crowd. Gail picks Tessmacher up but Gail shoves her away and hits a series of punches and kicks to Gail’s gut before connecting with a Flying Forearm. Tessmacher hits a clothesline and then a dropkick. Tessmacher attempts to whip Gail into the corner but Gail reverses it and Tessmacher bounces off the middle rope into a Flying Clothesline on Gail! Gail climbs up the ropes but Tessmacher takes her legs out from under her crotching Gail on the middle turnbuckle! Tessmacher hits the Tess-Shocker! 1…2…3!

Winner: Tessmacher via pinfall (Tess-Shocker)

After the match Madison Rayne comes down to the ring and gives Earl another kiss as Tessmacher looks on. Rayne waves at Tessmacher and then leaves.

In the back Joseph Park is talking about the big contract signing with Aries and Roode. He says this is the very thing he attempted to warn Sting about last week and he says because of the animosity between Roode & Aries this thing can be intense.

—–COMMERCIAL BREAK—-

Highlights of last week’s tag match between Aries/King and Zema/Roode is shown and then a highlight package hyping up Kenny King is shown. King talks about his goals and motivation to take the chance he did to come to TNA. A great little vignette to let us learn about King a little and here him speak.

Sting’s music hits and the interim GM makes his way down to the ring and again reiterates his call out to A’s & 8’s and then moves onto the contract signing for the Hardcore Justice Main Event.

Roode and Aries make their way down to the ring and then Sting asks Roode what is the deal with his attitude. Roode asks Sting if he’s stupid and then holds up the contract and says that is his problem. He says that in the contract it states that if he loses to Aries on Sunday that he never gets another chance at the belt while Aries is champion. Roode says he isn’t signing anything because Sting has a problem with Roode since day one. Roode says Sting has tried to stick to him and one up him ever since he became World Champion and even after Aries’ fluke victory, Sting is still trying to stick it to him. Roode says the game is over because unless the contract is changed he won’t have a Main Event for Sunday.

Aries cuts Roode off and tells him it’s enough of his bitching and moaning and he says that where he came from they have a saying, “maybe you need a little cheese with your whine.” Aries says for a man so convinced that Aries’ win was a fluke and that Roode can beat him, he sure is pretty concerned about a rematch clause. Aries says that he knows just like everyone else knows that Aries has Roode’s number. He says that it doesn’t really matter because he aims to please and he doesn’t want to give Roode any more reasons to throw his temper tantrums. Aries says if that contract is the problem they can be men and have an agreement right here in front of Sting and the world. Aries says that if Aries wins at Hardcore Justice then Roode never gets a shot at the belt as long as Aries has it but if Roode wins Aries will wave his rematch clause against Roode! Aries says that means it’s winner takes all, one final time, so Roode has no more bitching.

Roode calls Aries a fluke and Sting tells Roode to shake on it. Roode shakes Sting’s hand and then Aries’ shakes Sting’s hand and the match is made! Roode-Aries one more time! Roode and Aries get in each other’s faces but then Roode stops and offers Aries a handshake to make it official. Aries shakes his hand and then holds up the belt to Roode’s face. Roode then takes a glass of water and tosses it in Aries’s face! Aries goes after Roode but Roode takes off and Sting holds him back. Aries calls Roode a coward as Roode laughs.

After the match Ray immediately grabs his chain in anticipation of A’s & 8’s and then starts talking trash to Storm.

A’s & 8’s show up on the big screen again and says they’re jonesing for that action again and Ray will be seeing a lot more of them at the PPV.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Another fun show tonight from TNA on the final run to Hardcore Justice. They teased A’s & 8’s again but no attacks (though it looks like we’ll see more at the PPV) and heard from them (kind of) for the first time.

The opening promo from Storm and Ray was strong setting up the match for later.

Solid match from RVD and Magnus and their timing was really on tonight which was nice to see because lately RVD’s timing has been lousy.

Solid tag match with both teams looking strong but good lord how weak is the tag division with Garett & Devon the #1 contenders for those belts? Talk about needing a rebuild.

Before even talking about the awesome Angle-AJ match I have to talk about Kurt Angle. A lot of people say a lot of things about Kurt Angle, and a lot of it is negative but honestly I don’t give a damn. That guy is busting his ass every single week to entertain us and give everything he has inside the ring. He is OBVIOULSY hurting yet still goes ALL OUT each time he goes out there. I salute Angle and that guy will FOREVER have my respect for what he can do in the ring.

AJ-Angle never disappoint me when I get to see them in the ring against each other and didn’t disappoint tonight. They keep telling the story of AJ being unfocused because of Clarie and I hope that he gets on a run (I believe he has the most matches in the BFG Series left out of everyone) and makes it to the Semifinals.

Tessmacher-Gail was okay and about as good as a Tessmacher match can get. She’s just not strong in the ring. The Earl Hebner storyline still does nothing for me.

Ray-Storm was a really great contrast to the AJ-Angle match with a lot more brawling and telling a good story with both guys looking over their shoulder for A’s & 8’s and everytime Storm making a comeback Ray cuts him off. This was a good win for Ray while Storm still remains in a comfortable lead (though that can change at Hardcore Justice).

Also, I want to let everyone know that I’ll be covering “Hardcore Justice” live this Sunday night here on WrestleView as well as Facebook and on Twitter (@WrestleView).
