Shayna Baszler has confirmed her WWE release.
Baszler posted to her X account, “No one can offer what I have to offer. Reality. Let the Galaxy burn.”
After a career in MMA and other various wrestling promotions, the now 44-year-old Baszler first signed with WWE in 2017. She is a two-time NXT Women’s Champion and a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion. She was also part of the Pure Fusion Collection faction with Zoey Stark and Sonya Deville. WWE did not renew Deville’s contract this past February, ending the faction.
Fightful first reported earlier in the day on Friday that internal memos went out within WWE, indicating that Kayden Carter, Dakota Kai, Braun Strowman, Shayna Baszler, and Katana Chance were released.
