Following the news on Monday confirming The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch), had left AEW after the duo no longer appeared on the company’s roster page, PWInsider Elite is reporting on Tuesday, Vincent and Dutch requested last week to be released from their contracts.
The report further notes Vincent and Dutch’s contracts were not set to expire until sometime later this year. Sources within AEW told PWInsider, the split between the two sides was fully amicable.
Another source noted to PWInsider, the option for tag team to return is not entirely closed and the door remains open for possible future appearances for AEW or ROH programming on a non-contracted, pay-per appearance basis.
