Report: Judge denies motion to dismiss in Janel Grant’s petition to obtain evidence from Dr. Carlon Colker

According to Wrestlenomics, On Monday, Connecticut state court judge Colleen Zingaro denied Dr. Carlon Colker’s motion to dismiss a petition that was filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant.

It was noted the ruling now makes a path for Grant to pursue evidence from Colker and his Peak Wellness clinic, where she says Vince McMahon directed her to get treatment at.

Wrestlenomics further stated the ruling from Judge Colleen Zingaro also allows Grant to conduct discovery, seeking documents, possible communications with McMahon, and possible testimony from Colker, all while considering if she will bring forth civil claims against Colker, his clinic and McMahon.

It should be noted that the case regarding Grant and Colker is a state-level pre-suit bill of discovery action in the Connecticut Superior Court which is separate from Grant’s federal lawsuit against WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis. Furthermore It’s also separate from Colker’s defamation lawsuit he recently filed in federal court against Grant’s attorney Ann Callis.

When reached for comment by Wrestlenomics, Grant’s representatives specifically noted the portion of the judge’s order that notes Grant is considering potential claims, including “civil conspiracy, aiding and abetting, fraud, assault, battery, RICO, RICO conspiracy, and/or breach of fiduciary duty,” as alleged in her petition.

Grant’s attorneys indicate that she visited Peak Wellness more than sixty times from 2019 to 2022 by the persuading of McMahon. Grant alleges Colker and Peak Wellness prescribed supplements and infusions to her of which were not identified. Colker denies these claims.

Grant has filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, now former Executive John Laurinaitis and WWE, alleging, sex trafficking, sexual abuse and harassment.

Attorneys for Colker and Peak Wellness did not immediately respond to Wrestlenomics regarding a request for comment.
