Update on May 17 AEW Collision; May 31 episode could air late; AEW on Max change

According to AEW, this past Saturday’s Collision Beach Break episode is now available in its entirety on the TNT app.

The final 30 minutes of the show was cut-off on both the east and west coast feeds, as fans were greeted with Black Adam after the commercial break, following the segment featuring the tribute to Steve “Mongo” McMichael.

TNT then had a ticker at the bottom of the screen that Collision ended due to technical difficulties. “Due to technical difficulties, AEW Collision is not airing tonight. Please check allelitewrestling.com for wrestling updates.”

Shortly after, Tony Khan issued a statement on X, noting studio transmission issues and that the full show will be available with the west coast reply on TNT and the full show also will be available on Max, which did not happen.

At the time of this writing, the episode is still not available on the Max streaming service, with no reason given.

Subscribers of AEW+ via TrillerTV noted that Collision aired with no issues.

The May 31 taped episode of Collision may end up airing later, should the Indiana Pacers and New York Knicks go to a game six in their playoff battle. Collision is currently listed as airing at 11:30 pm ET, following the game.

Speaking of Max…

Beginning June 1, AEW fans who wish to keep viewing the promotion’s programming on the streaming service, will have to pay more money.

After May 31, those who have the basic Max subscription will no longer be able access AEW programming and will be informed they need to switch plans if they want to use the service to continue viewing Dynamite and Collision.

Verizon Wireless customers who have the Max/Netflix discounted bundle as an add-on with their service, are given the option of upgrading to the Standard or Ultimate Premium tiers for a discounted price.
