Deadline has reported that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is set to work with A24 once again, co-starring in the upcoming psychological thriller Breakthrough.
The news comes after Johnson worked with the studio on the MMA biopic drama The Smashing Machine, slated for a theatrical release on October 3.
There is currently no director on the project, penned by up-and-comer Zeke Goodman, and casting remains underway for the lead role and other supporting parts.
The Rock last appeared on WWE programming at Elimination Chamber, though he has since stated in interviews that he made the call to distance himself from the feud between John Cena and Cody Rhodes going into WrestleMania 41.
