PWInsider says they have confirmed Scott D’Amore’s report, that former TNA X-Division and Tag Team Champion Ace Austin has left TNA, after his contract recently expired.
The report notes that TNA did enter into negotiations with Austin for a new deal. However, neither side could come to terms on a new agreement. His final appearance is on the 5/22 episode of TNA IMPACT.
D’Amore said the following regarding Austin’s departure:
“Nothing has been said publicly, but Ace Austin’s contract with TNA has come to term. Ace deciding to leave is amicable — he’s been there since he was barely out of his teens, and he’s ready to step up. I signed him, and everything he’s shown since confirms that Ace Austin becoming a massive star is, indeed, ‘inevitable.’ He’s ready for that next chapter. I think it is time Ace Austin goes all in on proving he’s one of the best.”
The 28-year old Austin signed with the promotion back in 2019 and was a former TNA Tag Team Champion with Chris Bey.
