In addition to recently banning the use of excessive blood, TNA Wrestling’s talent relations department, per a new report from Fightful Select, has instituted more changes within the company, as indicted in an internal memo.
Fightful Select notes that slaps will now require prior approval from an agent before being used in matches or segments. In addition, the “throat slashing” gesture is now completely banned and if that if talent do the gesture, they will be fined $100.00 for time they use it.
The report concludes by noting these new bans/restrictions is a continued effort by the new TNA regime to create a newly refined product and presentation, attract a much broader fan base attract more advertisers.
It has been reported that TNA is said to be looking for a new broadcaster partner for its weekly IMPACT show.
