Carlito announces he’s leaving WWE, contract will not be renewed

Just a day after winning the WWC Puerto Rico Championship, Carlito has taken to social media to confirm PWInsider’s report, he is set to leave WWE in 2 weeks after his contract expires. Carlito notes that the company is not renewing his contract.

Carlito, who joked about WWE demanding he pays back the money they paid him for apparently “stealing money”, has been a member of Judgment Day.

This will be his second exit from WWE.

Carlito initially signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2003. The company released him in 2010. He then spent 10 years working on the independent scene and made a surprise appearance at the 2021 Royal Rumble. WWE signed him to a new contract in 2023, after he returned at Backlash that same year. Upon his return, he would wrestle as part of the LWO faction, but ended up turning heel and leaving the group after it had been revealed he was Dragon Lee’s attacker. After he was drafted to Raw, he continued as a heel and becoming a member of Judgment Day.

Carlito joins R-Truth as WWE talent contracts not being renewed.
