Tonight’s WWE Money in the Bank event saw John Cena team with Logan Paul in the main event, taking on Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso.
The bout, which saw the Undisputed WWE Champion and World Heavyweight Champion across the ring from each other, came to a head with Cena landing a shot on the head of Rhodes with his title belt…only for someone to blindside him in the ring, as noted by Mike Tedesco in his live coverage of the event.
That attacker would reveal himself to be R-Truth, getting an ounce of revenge on Cena after facing defeat on the 5/24 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Truth left the ring, allowing Rhodes to take the champion out for the victory.
