Two AEW stars legitimately injured

Colten Gunn Injured

AEW confirmed during Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, Colten Gunn injured his knee during the Four-Way 8-Man $200K Tag Team Match on last Saturday’s Collision. AEW did not provide specific of the injury or how long Colten will be out of action. However, due to the injury, Colten and his brother Austin are now out of the new eight tag team championship eliminator tournament.

It appears the injury happened following a jumping spot in the ring with Big Bill. After Colten came down, his knee buckled. He then left the ring and was not involved in match from that point on.

Will Ospreay Injured

During Wednesday’s Dynamite, Will Ospreay revealed he has been dealing with a neck injury for the past ten months, but has been keeping it a secret. Ospreay said that he has two herniated discs (C2 and C6) which are going into his spinal cord. In addition, Ospreay said that according to doctors, his injury is treatable and that he hopes to be cleared in time to compete at Forbidden Door on August 24. Ospreay said the injury was a result of being attacked by the Death Riders at All In Texas.

Several sources, including F4WOnline, note this is a legitimate injury and not part of a storyline.
