Title changes hands on AEW Collision, matches made for Forbidden Door

Kyle Fletcher is the new TNT Champion, having defeated Dustin Rhodes in a Chicago Street Fight on the special live Thursday episode.

Dustin won the TNT Championship at the All In Texas PPV on July 12, in a four-way match against Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher, after Adam Cole had to relinquish the title due to a concussion.

After Fletcher nailed Dustin with a screwdriver, he then pounded on the left knee of Dustin, which was injured earlier on in the match. Fletcher then proceeded to jab the screwdriver into the left knee of Dustin. The finish saw Fletcher picks up Dustin and drop him hard on thumb tacks that spread out in the ring, to get the three count.

Fletcher and Callis continued their assault on Dustin’s injured knee post-match, as Fletcher hit Dustin the knee with a chair, as Callis was holding Dustin’s leg against the ring post. It was then at that point, security and medical staff set Fletcher and Callis away, as they put Dustin on a stretcher, taking him to the back, with the show going off the air.

During Collision, two matches were made for the Forbidden Door pay-per-view.
