In an interview on The Sports Agents, Paul “Triple H” Levesque spoke on his relationship with Donald Trump.
The WWE Hall of Famer, who recently appeared as a guest as Trump signed an executive order to expand the Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, said of the current President of the United States and the difference in their worlds:
As you move through life, you continue to learn. I think that over time, everybody learns. He is one of the most intuitive people, I think, that I’ve met. Also, when he has a plan and he knows that it’s correct, he will stick to that. I think over time, many times that’s proven to be correct, but I think he admits when it’s wrong. Also, my world is not a political world. My world is a world of entertainment.
I’ve always enjoyed my interactions with him when he’s been here, and he’s in our Hall of Fame. So my hat’s off to him. I can only imagine, as people ask me about the stresses and the criticisms and the negativities around leading WWE and the creative, I can only imagine what it is to be a world leader in this day and age. So my hat’s off to anybody in this arena, whether it’s the Mayor of London, the President of the United States, or anybody in between. God bless them, and the job they do.
The appearance at the White House comes after Levesque attended the confirmation hearing in February for his mother-in-law, Secretary of Education Linda McMahon, and met with Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in June to address the incoming Council.
