On Sunday morning, Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s profiles were moved to the WWE alumni page. Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts are set to expire at midnight on August 10.
Fightful Select has published a report with some additional details on Kross and Scarlett’s contract situation. PWInsider and F4WOnline have reported that the couple where offered new contracts. Kross and Scarlett are reportedly expected to address their status soon.
WWE sources have said Kross and Scarlett were originally booked for last Monday’s Raw in Brooklyn, but their travel was then said to have been canceled. Footage of Kross vs. Sami Zayn from SummerSlam aired during Raw, showing Zayn defeating Kross. However, the initial storyline stipulation of Kross having to admit he was wrong about Zayn was never acknowledged.
Fightful Select also notes sources within MLW initially thought Kross and Scarlett’s contract situation was a storyline and said if it is indeed legitimate, it will not be long before the two find work elsewhere. It was added that sources within WWE on both the talent and creative sides are adamant Kross and Scarlett leaving WWE is real. However, it also has further been stated that there is still a possibility this could all be a work involving Kross, Scarlett, higher-ups in WWE, and select WWE insiders, keeping other wrestling company’s unsure if they should contact Kross and Scarlett about coming in.
