AEW star says he’s received “super lovely” messages from WWE before needed surgery

In speaking exclusively with Metro, ahead of Sunday’s Forbidden Door, AEW’s Will Ospreay, says he has received messages from those in WWE, regarding his needed surgery after the pay-per-view, for herniated discs that are pushing against his spinal cord that is causing him to experience nerve issues.

“I’ve got people in [WWE] that I’ve never met before in my entire life, that have reached out because of this neck injury, and they have gone, “Hey, if you need a doctor, or if there’s any questions that need to be answered…every single one of them are super lovely. And I wish them all the best. I really do.”

At Sunday’s event, Ospreay will team up with up with Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Darby Allin and Hiroshi Tanahashi to take on Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Gabe Kidd and The Young Bucks, in a Lights Out Steel Cage Match.

Opsreay also talked about his real-life fiancé’ Alex Windsor, who will take part in a Four-Way Match at the Forbidden Door PPV, for the TBS Championship as Mercedes Mone’ defends the title against Windsor, Bozilla and Persephone.

Sunday’s AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door will take place live from the O2 Arena in London, England with a start time of 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.

Ospreay addressed his physical issues during this past Wednesday’s Dynamite.
