According to a snapchat video from Saudi Arabian Adviser Turki Alalshikh, WrestleMania 43 in 2027 is going to take place in Saudi Arabia.
In his announcement via snapchat that was posted in a now deleted X post, Alalshikh said, “We are announcing that for the first time, WrestleMania will take place outside America. WrestleMania will be coming to Saudi Arabia in 2027.”
F4WOnline and Fightful Select notes that a press release was removed shortly after it went out, as it was apparently sent out accidentally before announcement was set to be publicly issued.
Per a report by PWInsider, WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia is 100 percent legitimate and an announcement is expect to be coming very soon that will officially have the big two-night event outside of North American for the first time ever.
According to Fightful Select, while WWE has yet to make an official announcement, one WWE higher-up fold the publication, “where there’s smoke, there’s fire.”
Fightful Select added that the pulled press released was originally sent out in Arabic, which caused confusion among English-speaking media outlets that had never received it.
Furthermore, the report notes the belief within WWE is there are still plans to hold three events in Saudi Arabia events next year, which as previously reported, now includes the Royal Rumble. It was also emphasized, it remains unclear how WrestleMania may affect those plans.
Fightful concluded by noting a source said that an official announcement is scheduled for later this week, which could possibly be on Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada which would align up with TKO promoting the Terence Crawford vs. Canelo Alvarez fight that is an big event backed by Riyadh Season.
