An injury changed World Title Match plans for AEW All Out

According to a report from Fightful Select, the original plan was to have Wardlow challenge ‘Hangman’ Adam Page for the AEW World Championship at All Out in Toronto.

However, AEW had to change their creative plans after Wardlow tore his pectoral muscle when he clotheslined Prince Nana at Forbidden Door PPV back on August 24. Wardlow’s surprise return marked the first time he had been back since March 2024. He had been out of action due to a shoulder injury from a motor vehicle accident.

With Wardlow’s injury, current TNT Champion Kyle Fletcher will be the challenger for ‘Hangman’ instead.

There is no timeline as to when Wardlow will make his return.
