During the September 12 episode of his Kliq This podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash spoke candidly about his return to Christianity, bringing up that he embraced his faith after the passing of his mother and then embraced his faith again after the passing of his son Tristian.
After a brief discussion about working out, Nash talked about how he doesn’t have time for negativity in his life at his age.
“…like I’ve tried this whole week – like I’ve had so many people ride up my a–. So it’s just – I put my turn signal on and I just get over and I let them go by…I’m 66 – life’s too short to let like negativity – I’m just I’m just out of that negative s—.”
Nash said that when he skews away from his beliefs, life is rough, but when he turns over the wheel, life seems perfect.
“I just know that like I’ve went in and out of my, um alignment with my beliefs and anytime I’m at the wheel, my life’s rough, Anytime the I hand the wheel over, my life seems to be very perfect.”
When asked about his son’s passing and his (Kevin’s) beliefs and why he didn’t throw it in the garbage, Nash said its because of what Tristian wrote on the back of the door. Nash did not elaborate on what that was, as he went on to say that he also embraced his Christianity after his mom passed away.
“She was there – was a minister of the Methodist Church was at the house and she had a relationship with Christ again and went full circle.”
Nash also talked about how Shawn Michaels was changed after finding Christ, also briefly mentioning the same experiences for Sting and Lex Luger.
“…like Shawn Michaels – was, would probably have died and he found – Christ and I mean that was just – it was like almost overnight – how quickly he just changed and it save his life and saved his marriage – and I so I know – the earnestness of a lot of people that do get saved and its – he’s a good example.”
