Andrade is gone from WWE.
The former NXT Champion and WWE United States Champion’s profile has been moved to the alumni section of WWE’s website.
The news first reported by Fightful, with the publication giving credit to @WrestlingMobs for first noticing Andrade on the alumni section of WWE’s website. The departure has also been confirmed by PWInsider and is also being reported by F4WOnline.
Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp wrote on Fightful Select they were told back in August, Andrade was not on the company’s internal injury list and when they had asked about him not being booked for a certain match, they we told ‘if it was possible, he would be.'”
Sapp’s report also notes that one WWE source indicated Andrade’s departure had been in the works for at least a week and this did have an immediate affect on creative plans after SummerSlam. Sapp further stated in his report that a number of talent they spoke to within WWE had no idea what was going on with Andrade or that he was leaving the company.
There is no information at the time of writing if Andrade asked for his release or if WWE decided to part ways with him and just cut him loose.
His first stint in WWE was from 2016-2021. He requested his release in March of 2021 and made his debut with AEW on the June 4, 2021 episode of Dynamite as Andrade El Idolo.
After leaving AEW in December 2023, Andrade made his return to WWE at the 2024 Royal Rumble. His last appearance on WWE television was at SummerSlam Night Two, where he teamed up with Rey Fenix in a TLC Match for the WWE Tag Team Championships. Reports surfaced last fall that he and Charlotte Flair had filed for divorce in June of 2024, with the divorce being finalized in October of that same year.
