AEW CEO, President and General Manager Tony Khan announced Saturday on social media that Hologram has significant injuries and will likely be out for the rest of this year. Khan did not say what type of injuries Hologram is dealing with.

AEW did an angle at the start of Saturday night’s Collision when a vignette for El Con, the evil Hologram began to air in a backstage segment with Hologram and the Paragon (Kyle’ O’Reilly and Roderick Strong). The light’s went out and when they partially came back up, Kyle Fletcher had attacked Hologram.
The undefeated Hologram was scheduled to challenge Fletcher for the TNT Championship on Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite 6-Year Anniversary special in a streak vs. Title Match. After Fletcher successfully defended the TNT Title against Komander during on Collision during the second hour, he later appeared in a backstage segment gloating about how he took out Hologram and then issued an open challenge Wednesday. It was then announced by Tony Schiavone, that Orange Cassidy stepped up and will now challenge Fletcher for title on this Wednesday’s Dynamite.

Wednesday’s episode will be a 2 1/2 special, live on TBS and HBO Max from the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
