According to PWInsider Elite, some within WWE are reportedly worried that Seth Rollins may require shoulder or rotator cuff surgery. It was also mentioned that others are taking a “wait and see” approach, considering the fake knee injury angle Rollins was involved in this past July during his match against LA Knight at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank contract during the first night of SummerSlam and regained the World Heavyweight Championship, pinning CM Punk with a stomp to the head after he was attacked by Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. Punk had just defeated Gunther for the title.
The belief right now is that Rollins may have suffered a shoulder injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at the Crown Jewel PLE in Perth, Australia, last Saturday. He hit Cody Rhodes with the coast-to-coast headbutt, bracing the fall with his left arm.

WWE did an angle at the very end of this past Monday’s Raw in Perth, with Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turning on Rollins. Breakker hit Rollins with a spear. Reed then followed up with a Tsunami on Rollins that brought the show to a close.
It was previously reported that WWE sources noted this angle was seen as a major pivot in creative plans. One source said Breakker splitting off from the faction was not expected until 2026, but was forced to happen much earlier than intended.
