During his most recent podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi confirmed previous reports he underwent surgery. He did not go into specific details, but did note that the surgery lasted six hours.
“I’m not gonna go into details about everything about what happened, and so forth,” he said. “It was an emergency type of surgery, and I’m gonna leave it at that. It took about six hours…I woke up feeling great, you know what I mean, I feel like a new person…I woke up, you know, feeling a different way when I got wheeled back to the room…meaning just grateful,” he said. “There’s so much to life than to be able to be upset at each other…life, to me, is not so bad after all when you give it another chance to live.”
The 60-year old Rikishi went on to recommend people check in with their doctors, adding that he did not do that and further added his ailment was caught “just in time”, which has given him a new perspective on life.
