Former WWE champion writing Toei Animation film

In an interview with Stephanie McMahon for What’s Your Story, AJ Lee revealed that she is writing a movie for Toei Animation.

Talking about her love for anime, the former Divas Champion said:

One of my favorite companies growing up was Toei, they did Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, and these things that raised me. We are writing a movie for Toei Animation. I think that’s all I can say. Just such a dream come true to be in their office and see the Dragon Ball Z figures everywhere. ‘Can I move in here?’

Lee co-wrote the Netflix original movie Blade of the 47 Ronin and the graphic novel Day of the Dead Girl alongside Scrappy Heart Productions partner Aimee Garcia.

The conversation comes after Lee made her return to WWE to team with CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins at Wrestlepalooza, a rivalry that has extended to AJ and Becky joining separate squads for the women’s War Games match at Survivor Series.
