Harley Cameron credits AEW champion for career growth

In an interview with TV Insider, Harley Cameron was asked about her work with Mercedes Moné in AEW, particularly heading into Grand Slam Australia when she challenged for the TBS Championship in February.

On how the experience working with Moné has helped her career grow, Cameron said:

I think working with Mercedes was such an important part of my career growth because when you have the opportunity to work with one of the greats. Obviously, there are a lot of eyes on the individual who has credibility and star power. It was an amazing position and opportunity for me. I definitely think it allowed me the screen time to show my performance ability in entertaining, which is where I had the experience in.

She pushed me more to prove something in the ring and it definitely gave me that fire that made me think I needed to level up and work harder. I credit her massively to my growth. I think this year without that opportunity, I wouldn’t have had the year I had. Which has been a fantastic one.

Despite failing in her challenge for the Women’s World Championship at Full Gear, “Ultimo Moné” continues to tout the other 13 belts she has to her name, including the TBS Championship, the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament title belt, the CMLL World Women’s Championship, and women’s titles from around the world.

Harley Cameron teams with Willow Nightingale as the Babes of Wrath in the tournament to crown the inaugural AEW Women’s Tag Team Champions, taking on the Sisters of Sin (Skye Blue and Julia Hart) on the Thanksgiving Eve edition of AEW Dynamite.
