According to a new report from Fightful Select, there is a new update regarding Anna Jay’s AEW contract status.
Fightful Select’s previous report from last month indicated per sources, Jay’s contract was believed to be expiring in the next few months. However, sources close Fightful Select now indicate Jay’s contract is set to expire within the next six months, possibly during the Spring of 2026. Those same sources claim that Jay is actively looking into other options and does have connections within WWE and the NXT brand.
Furthermore, Fightful Select adds that people became aware of Jay’s contract situation after she had been hopeful that she would have been part in the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match, which she ended up happening. Her last appearance on AEW television was back on the November 19 episode of Collision, where she and Tay Melo took a loss to Megan Bayne and Marina Shafir, in an AEW Women’s World Tag Team Championship Tournament Match.
Jay debuted for AEW back in April 2020, during the COVID-19 AEW Dynamite episodes that were held at the Nightmare Factory in Norcross, Georgia.
